"yamaha Fz350 "

This is the Job of a neighbourhood mechanic,He had 2 RD350 engines at his disposal he rebuilt an engine with brand new sleeves from bangalore and standard ART pistons,modified the chasis of the FZ16 to fit RD's engine into it,modified the CDI unit,removed the cat converter out of the exhaust and increased the volume of exhaust pipes and added a manifold that connects both exhaust pipes(underneath) into one, decreased the no of teeth on the rear sprocket and many other smaller mods.
The bike sounds awesome and the growl is twice more meatier than a HT
and I got to ride it the next day after the rebuild so wasnt allowed to rev too much or even go above 60-70, but the bike is very smooth and handles like a normal FZ with loads and loads of more power,the front shocks went down about an inch because of the engines weight.
Nice job. How is the handling of the bike?
Cheers.
@Ardy
The bike handles very good,the sound makes you rev harder and harder and the digital speedo goes crazy when you hit a deserted road...the chasis part was done very well so almost zero vibrations....the rear tyre spins if you throttle too much on the first two gears (after rejetting)... the max I hit is 90 ( because the owner was watching)
:eek: Very good job.
Pictures of the two exhaust pipes being connected to the silencer in close up would be good.
That's an interesting job done. Good to see the merging of 2 Yamaha's.
A very nice job indeed. a lion on a cows skin :D
can't wait to know its top speed.
BTW could you please share the chassis modifications?
Great Job!!!!!. We always used to argue in our circle in this aspect. Few Bikes come with very good chassis and dynamics but with a below par engine. And we always used to dream about having a different engine in a different Bike.
Hats off to the guy who's dunnit. :thumbs up
Wow super , what I can immediately is , remove the scoops , it seems to impacting cooling the engine enough and the Air filters seems to be blocked ,need better breathing .Wonderful job .
Hows papers taken care off ?
wohaaa.. thats hell of a mod. :Shockked:
would love to hear about full potential of bike .. max speed and handling at higher speed etc.:D
nice mod job. worth spending on this rather than anything else.
Oh man...! that is pretty impressive.
Time to get an RD engine and an FZ :D ?
It will be a tough ask to get it "registered" for the road.
Different chassis number, engine number and with the mods on the bike.
@Satpal Singh
Any chance to get the pics of the exhaust ?
Its not really "safe" to play around with the exhaust of a 2 stroke, I wonder how the guy managed.
Excellent find mate, thanks for sharing it.
3 Cheers to the builder too...!
wow, monster mod job! Is the owner planning to upgrade the tyres for more grip? More Speed needs more grip.
awesome job.i am so excited to see this as i have an spare engine.can i getsome more details please & the contact number of the mechanic,
Awesome!! Any clue on the cost ?
Does it have the characteristic RD sound? You know what I am talking abt...that fraction of a second delay in the silencers sound? Video will be good.
