HI All,

I would like to start a Used Bike price thread usefull for buyers of second hand two wheelers.People who are in constant touch with such dealings can help fellow bhpians in choosing the right bike for the right price and also guide the buyers in technicals and paperwork details that they need to take care before and after the deal...

To start off...

i am on the verge of completing a deal of buying an RX135 2003 model done 35k on the odo and used by 2 owners...
The 2nd owner has not transferred the papers to his name where as hes got original papers from the first owner.Insurance is also lapsed...The worst part is hes not evn serviced the vehicle once after he bought ie from past 1 year.And the Tyres need change
Owner is quoting 20,000/- Rs . WIth all this descripencies at what price should i buy the vehicle plz advice?
Is 16,000/-Rs a good price?

Depends upon the engine condition and cosmatics, for me its good deal even if he quotes 25K, if its 5 speed RX.
Offer the owner one head packing kit and lift the head check the piston size and play if its exceeding the factory limits, ride the bike for a good 8-10 kms as get into the unusual noise if any coming out of engine or crank.As engine rebuilt will set you back by 3-5 K easily.
Get the rates as low as you can and pick i up as 2 stroke Yamaha's are priceless.

Its 4 speed and i think they havent touched the engine so far.. but i think i need to redo the bore ...

bangalore prices are inflated for sure
you can pay around 16-18 k for the bike,

Yesterday My friends Cousin bro was offered 20,000/-Rs for a 2006 model yamaha gladiator,single owner run only 15k kms on the odo in the exchange scheme in one of the yamaha showrooms in Bangalore .He didnt give the bike ,preferred to sell it outside.WHats the right price for the same he can expect?

I came across one for 30K INR.Is it worth paying so much or is it a good bet?

Any ideas about the price of a 2000 model, 77500 KM Splendor? I was offered Rs 15000 for mine in exchange at the HH dealer when I went to check out Karizma. They said they will hold the valuation for another couple of months, till the new Karizma arrives in the showroom.

I suspect this deal... i guess he got this bike only to sell it off eventualy and thts why didnt bother to convert it to his name, coz he mite get a better deal if its not converted. I dont think he might have used it considerately. I would suggest stay away from this deal

IN case you planning to exchange her for Karizma,I would suggest wait for the new FI one.
and 15K is a decent price for your splendor
