Hi harishnayak, is your budget of 50k with the bike or after the bike is procured? in case the second option then there is no much difference between Army disposal and civilian models (unless you are looking for 500cc which were used by A.P police) but with the budget you are quoting army disposal would prove costly for you because you have to do everything on these bikes right for engine, paint, electrical, gearbox etc rather I suggest you to buy a good running condition bullet and get it painted with army olive green be it matt or shiny that will fulfill your wish and would be in your budget.

Check out this US enfield page, this model in WW2 military colour looks fabulous.

Royal Enfield Bullet C5 Military - The Classic British Military Motorcycle Model

Also note that military/army green may not be approved of in Indian RTOs.

All the best for your project.

Cheers.
Sorry for late response but my budget of 50 K is with the machine and the rebuilding cost.

Sounds like a good idea but a good running bullet would cost me about 50k if im not wrong. I'm in no hurry but still looking for a good piece.

Now the craze for bullets have sprung up rapidly so getting a army bullet will also cross the 50k budged because any disposal bullet will not cost you less than 15000/-

Paint 3500 plus
chrome 4500
Tyres & Tubes 5000
Engine build 7000
Electrical 3500
Seat 1000
Battery 1500
others 3500
Docs/fitness 4000
labour 4000

the above figures are approximate and tend to shoot up by all means, however do a rough estimate of all and get into the project, in case of disposal bullet, please make sure the docs are in right place because that is the key factor where things go wrong and get them right first and then begin the project.

Around 25-27k if selling to a dealer. They might bargain hard saying its 6 years old and try to get it for lesser. Individual buyer might be ready to shell out a grand or 2 more.

PS: Why are you giving away the helmets?

Re: The "Used Bike Price Thread"

Hi folks,

I am looking for a well maintained YAMAHA RXZ/RXG in Andhra Pradesh any lead will be much appreciated. Now regretting loosing two Yams (RX100 & RX 135 2004 model 4 speed) the later one is what I am missing a lot such a pristine bike it was..I am sure I might not be able to replace it but sure will pacify my urge.

Dealers will offer around 16-18k, while an individual might offer 1-2k more. Chennai you might get a bit lesser since the on road price is lesser than Bangalore.
