I am looking at buying RX100 or RX135. All prices quoted are above 35k. Some quotes were ine xcess of 70k. What should be a good price for a RX100 which is in a good mechanical condition with all papers in place.

Ideally it should be Rs 10000/- to Rs 15000/- maximum but as its in high demand people quote exhorbitent prices for the same.
If the model like nearing 2005 can be paid around Rs 25000/- based on the originality and maintainence.
I bought my Rx 135 2002 make original condition for Rs 20000/- .
Engine condition was excellent but the cosmetics were in bad shape .had to replace all of them which costed me Another whooping 18000/- RS + labor charges Rs 2000/-.
Totally my bike onroad running costed Rs 40000/-.
I am very passionate of RX wanted to own one from childhood days.

Another issue I have is that its insurance had expired long back (it was kept parked for too long).

Is it necessary to get a new insurance done before selling the bike? Or can I leave it to the buyer?

Its better to get the insurance done and an over all paint touch job or so including electrical check and all. Good buyers will always look for genuine sellers with all papers clear. You will get a better price. If not you might need to sell at a lower price and run behind for years to get the bike transferred.

Very true , get the insurance done it hardly cost you anything. And insist on getting the copy of the transfer of the bike done to the owner ,by this you will be on the safer side with respect to the law.
If not transferred then Even if the new owner jumps the signal you will get the bill from the traffic police ,then u have a proof ,show that and they will change the address and the owner in their respective systems too.

Honda Unicorn 2006 Black 6K on the Odo..single owner..delhi regd..what price to quote

Hi all,

On my recent weekend trip to Shimla, I saw a fellow on a Green Ninja 250R and since then I have set my heart on it...

I used to own a Shogun'95 during my college years but had to sell it in '00 and then I bought a Unicorn in '06 for regular household chores that required a visit to nearby mall/shops....its been 4 years and I have only done 6K on it....but it has been regularly used even if for short runs...maintained well...I plan to sell this and use it as my input for Ninja (don't think it will suffice though)...reason I tell you all this is that have always been avid biker but switched to the 4 wheel variety but now am coming back to my old love...

So, the question, what should I be asking for this bike...its maintained well and under cover for better part of the week (no insurance though).

thanks for your help..Cheers, Sid

It should be in the range of 15-20k if maintained well. You sure you want to sell it off after the carb replacement?

Based on the condition of the bike you can get maximum of Rs 32,000/- .
Only great bullet lover would go for this bike and do a complete work on the same.
My friend who loves bullet did the same and over all expenses for the bike came upto 75K INR for a fully conditioned bullet.
