Re: Modified Indian bikes - Post your pics here and ONLY here

Saw this bullet duly modified by a guy at andheri link road , he has many bikes some still under modifications, some ready.

I think that this type of mods is very well known in north india, where in small towns we have these types of modifiers, who do any thing without thinking of any technalities, weight they add to the bikes by haphardously adding wings, spoilers, large petrol tanks, foot rests, etc.

Incidently all mods are with PATRE KA KAAM nowhere plastics,PVC and other light materials are used.

This guy when asked about what changes he made to engine , he said with a smile it is stock engine with very large rear tyre. He also has two cigrette lighters, on the DASH BOARD along with other fitments from other bikes.
This bike when used on the mumbai roads will invite cops problems.
Such heavy mods will need to be intimated to RTO also.
I have not asked the price. NO USE ASKING.

This bike also has a cooling fan in front of the engine.........to keep engine cool yaar.

Second bike silver coloured has hand shifting gears instead of foot operated. It looks like a BEST bus gear lever. The rider has to remove his right hand while riding to engage the gears.hahahahahah, and it is still under MODIFICATION. ie adding more and more weight to it

@Konjaril: Well, I know nothing much about bikes, let aside modifications, but isn't that part awfully close to the front tyre? Looks dangerous to me.

I am extremely curious, how is the performance of the interceptor engine compared to our modern day bullets? I mean not just the stats, How does the riding experience compare?

I believe the engine was way ahead of its time, even today it runs like a Gun in literal sense but requires a lot and lot of care and maintenance.

Bikes like these are rare today so they cannot be used daily. And the thrill of uncertainty of the bike is awesome, you wont know how it will behave in the same turn again. The power is like 2 RD 350's put together with a bigger exhaust note and bassier than the legendary RD. Imagine 2 bullet 350 sounds beating the drums one after other.

Modern UCE engine is a class in itself and requires no tech brain to tell that, but the interceptor is pure nostalgia.

Spotted a "tri-cycle" bike! - What is this?

Folks
Driving through Kalkaji, New Delhi couple of days ago, a "tri-cycle bike" passed me and sped away.
Could not catch up with him due to the crowded single carriageway, but did manage to get a fleeting shot of his back before he got too far.
Apologies for the quality of the picture - it was evening and cloudy and shot with my mobile.

Wondering what make/model this vehicle is?

I think you meant the W&W thread, there's one separate.
