Hi All,

This is the first time i am gonna post an article, so plz forgive me if i go wrong somewhere.(cant understand how to create a new treat)

For a while now i have been waiting to do up my bike a july 2003 karizma, originally silver in color.
Over the past years a few simple modifications were done, 130/80 dunlop monster (Rs 2200 ) rear tyre killed the spoket of the bike ,an air filter some china company make (blue in color) really bad for the bike.
changed the front faring twice, broken in an accident , finally the last time it broke i didn't replace it, just fixed the head light and rode it that way.
I had been waiting to get the bike done up desperately but was a short of some finance. (one mechanic gave me an estimate of 16k to get the whole bike done up ..painting tyres & engine work) WOW that was a bit too much.
So i researched removed estimates thanks to team bhp, and finally collected enough money over a few months to get set go.

LIST OF THINGS DONE ON THE BIKE (all parts bought from Authorized Hero honda Dealer by me, and installed in front of me, we begun at 6pm and finished by 4am)

11) Belly with holders and nuts Rs800 +
12)Timing chain 470
13)Swing arm bushed 4 pieces Rs1350
14)Front indicators both for Rs300 +(not original) original is for Rs500 +
15)Rear Indicator glass original for both Rs260
16)Tail light glass Rs270
17)Engine oil Motul 300v Rs850
18)Fork oil Rs200 +
19) 1 mirror Rs100
20)tyres dunlop Front Rs1000
21)Rear Pirelli scorpion100/90 Rs2750
22)brake liner Rs140
23)Front Visor Rs390
24)Rear Axcel Rs140+
25)Bulbs Rs50+
26)inner fairing plastic Rs300+
27)All screws& nuts Rs150+

The bike is killer fast now feels like new.

@ Ryan: Neat looking ride you have there. Like the white paintjob, work done looks top notch. And the front mudguard looks like the one from the ZMR, was it a direct fit? Asking coz my bro has changed the front mudguard on his bike thrice coz it cracks easily on bumps. I didn't quite like a few things though, like the seat...looks cheap IMHO. The grab rail ,engine, swing arm etc could have be left black instead of gold, would have gone well with the over all theme, But its your bike and you should be the one satisfied with the job. All in all a job well done.
PS: If im not mistaken i have seen this bike in malad west around 2 days back?

: Mudguard is of ZMR ... not a direct fit
The showroom guys refused to fit it to my bike as they said it would not fit
fort point (mahim) worst service ever... i did it myself front of them

Steps:
Remove wheel completely( if you do not remove the wheel it will not fit)
Fix the ZMR bracket Rs 70
Fix the rubbers
Install the mudguard
Put the wheel back Vola!

I too feel the engine covers are dummy. I'll confirm when I see this bike again.

Thanks,
Jose.
