Othewise you could manage ver well with the "auto-clutch".

I have not seen this delibrate arrangement in any other bikes.

The auto clutch is the best feature of the "JAWA". Only I will add that I use to ride my brother's Jawa ( 1967 ) with the clutch cable broken. You have to adjust the auto clutching properly and with the use of the brakes, accelerator and the gear lever to move from stand still. Need to practice doing this and get it right.

The worst feature were the brakes and timing. The timing used to shift frequently. And an hidden feature was the neutral light switch. There was no neutral indicator, but a switch was provided in the gearbox.

Starting on the alternator always was a bit troublesome. Either you pump the kick starter a few times and give a healthy kick or put the Ignition switch to battery , pray that it won't back fire and kick start it.

This was a very successful bike and sold quite well.Perhaps in 1970 the old Ranger was given a refreshed look with the newly designed petrol tank and some other goodies added for an enhancing appeal.A few years later the Ranger's petrol tank design was reverted to the conventional shape. Its sales were second to the Jawa and the number three slot was occupied by the Enfield Bullet. So can't say that this two wheeler had flopped!

Hi Friends,
Apologies for being, i searched many threads but could not find a suitable place to post the query, that is why i am posting it here.

I am restoring my Hero Puch - 1999 model, i procured most of the spares for the bike from Thane, but could not get the Headlight Assembly, need to change the same, as the current Head Light Assembly is totally rusted.

Can you people suggest me a spare parts shop, where i can get the Headlight Assembly and Spokes for the Rear Wheel.

You are absolutely RIGHT Technocraft.
Mostly ,for our Bike loving public: FAILURE of a BIKE means....
" Either He or She doesn't have potential to BUY that stuff OR
He does not understand the mechanism of it".
No offense meant: Already OUR regular Bullet Mechanic friends claim that "latest Integrated powertrain" of a BULLET is a FAILURE

I've hardly seen this mobike in TN & Kerala, say about 3-4 times since its launch about 4-5 years ago by Kinetic. There's a probability that Mahindra could launch it again.

The TVS King was launched to give competition to the Bajaj M80.

The King which TVS has is an autorickshaw. It certainly does not compete against the M80. The Kinetic King is the one which fz_rider is referring I suppose

I would agree with a lotta guys and the vehicles mentioned in the flop list.

If im not wrong, the Bajaj XCD125 is a failure.

Its been replaced and its engine put in the Platina these days.

The Bullet Lightning 500.

A few i would disagree with are- The RD350

I know people looking out for a decent one like crazy.
