Why is there so much sarcasm in your response ?? Looks like you are taking your profile name too seriously. Take it easy.

What Mr. Boss has said is absolutely true, read it with an open mind. Do a little research and you will understand why hes said what he has.

Stick to premix and you will worry less about the oil pump and save money on engine rebuilds. I have learnt this the hard way as have many others.

Take whatever your Yamaha expert said with a pinch of salt and learn from the experiences of people with the same passion.

Hey, Most of the 2 stroke guys use pre-mix of the oil. If the oil pump fails, then there is no lubrication, leading to seized pistons. pre-mix always ensures lubrication.

The husqvarna 2T oil was recommended earlier and I am still trying to see if i can get my hands on it. Otherwise I use the 2t 500ml bottle from BP pump and mix the oil myself with petrol.

OT: When parking for more than 4 or 5 days, I close the fuel and let the petrol dry in the carb so that there is no fuel left in the carb. Don't want to risk it with the ethanol blended fuels in the lines and carb.

Re: All about Two stroke (2T) oils

Shell made 2T oil and it was decent. I still might have half a bottle left somewhere in my garage. Thing with the synthetic Racing type 2T oils is that it could be slightly viscous compared to the regular 2T oils and meant for track use (no 2T tank and no oil pump)
When I used 2T oil in my RD which had a functioning oil pump, I stuck with regular grade 2T oil.
Back in the day, Castrol made Super TT and JETTEX which was a brilliant low-smoke 2T oil and it smelt good!

The same manufacturer don't dare to give us a life time warranty / guarantee, did you think about it? If there is a reason behind it, it applies to why I said so.

Ofcourse you can. We can only warn about the pit ahead in which we fell and broke our bones. It's upto you to proceed with eyes closed, if you are lucky you may escape from the pit. Otherwise, all the best for the learning. Thank us later.

Sarcasm - may be yes, this is after all a forum and not a judicial court.
Taking my handle seriously - may be or may not be, but that's none of your business. I answered all your queries. Throw away the sarcasm and take the rest or ditch everything all together.
