Exactly! I'll call the dist. again. Anyway, I had to fill up with Jet X last month... which will last several weeks. So will have to wait anyway.

If you had gone thru this thread, you'd have found the contact details of Motul. But... 800 for a 50 cc engine?

Cool, do let us know how you find it. But what are you going to do with the drained oil? Surely you aren't throwing away good oil??

I siphoned the Petronas with a pipe and put it back into its bottle. Will use it after I finish the 510.

Went for a ride to Khopoli today and I have to say that the oil is superb. The bike felt really smooth.

Guys, I have a ported RX 135 5Speed running on 58mm pistons and asome other mods. Right now, i disconnected my 2T oil side box and fill the oil directly into the tank along with the fuel (Engine got seized thanks to that stupid pipe getting clogged). Right now, am using ONLY shell super-premium (or something of that sort) petrol with 5% oil. Is this safe for my bike?

shell super premium ? what the hell is that ? sure you've not picked it off the sea-shore mate ?

i think what u mean is shell advance vsx semi syth . the green bottle ? its available at shell petrol bunks . run 35 to 40 ml of that stuff in a litre of petrol .

@ Attention all 2strokes esp those in bangalore . Motul 800 Fully Sythetic available for Rs 550 a litre . please pm and let me know if you are interested .

I dont remember the name what they call it. One is the regular petrol and other is the petrol with the additives which costs 1rs more. I put that and ask him to add 5% oil, the pre mix one.

Smoke seems to be a little more than the Petronas but the smoothness seemed to be more. Maybe because I got the bike upjeted and the exhaust de-carbed.

Once I use the Petronas after this, I'll know the difference better.

^^^ Hmmm... actually, the be fair, you need to use the same oil for quite some distance to be able to tell. You know, I'v been using Jet X for... but the earlier stuff I was using was not Power 1. I believe it was different stuff. It wasn't so smooth and smoked more. The current bottle I poured in is the 2 or 3rd Jet X Power 1 stuff I poured in. And since I'v put that bottle in, the bike has been smoother and the smoke is definitely lesser. So it has taken 2 - 3 (half litre) bottles to know the difference!! No changes have been made to the bike in the interim.

I finally got my bottle of Motul 510 today. Now waiting for the Jet X to get exhausted. :(

I've already ridden the bike 416 kms with the 510 so that is definitely enough to know.

I still think this oil is too expensive at 380/-. Its ok for someone like you who doesnt top up for a long time. I need 1L a month.

Did you have to get the oil yourself or was it delivered to you?

^^^ One litre a month? Gosh... how many km do you cover in a month? Btw, since you burn so much oil, how often do you generally need to decarb?

It is a tad expensive, but what are the other choices?? Petronas 5000 costs nearly the same right? I believe they have increased prices lately. VSX2 and Jet X no longer seem to be in the market here at least. I guess its the same in Bombay, right? Technically also they are not comparable. That leaves stuff like MAK, Servo and Castrol Super TT, which I'd rather not use.

The correct term is "Shell Super Unleaded with additives" as against the "Shell Normal Unleaded". Incidentally both are 91 octane, the difference is only the additives. Disconnecting the 2T oil pump and using petroil mix in the fuel tank is the best method. Shell bunk is OK, but if it is any other bunk it will be better to carry your own 2T oil.
