Re: Royal Enfield Queries

Hi Guys, I have got hold of a latest ThunderBird digital speedo console to fit on my older ThunderBird. Since the model itself is new and the OE wiring kit not yet available, I finding it difficult to connect all the features to my ride.

Can anyone help me to source a wiring kit set for the latest Thunderbird, or even provide me with the full wiring diagram of the digital speedo console?

Thanks in advance.

Guessing- digital speedo would need an electro-magnetic pickup somewhere on the wheel/hub or hooked to engine RPM (spark plug leads, unlikely). Did you get that too?

Yes I have got them too. I will have to make a small modification to the existing wheel hub to accommodate the latest electro-magnetic setup. But I have not yet done it as I am yet to get the wiring information. Even if I can get the socket to be connected to the speedo, I can start with the installation.

You cant get the speed from the spark plug leads. They can/are used to get the RPM of the engine.

Ask your friend if he's been using the kill switch to turnoff the engine regularly. Frequent ignition kills bugs the Tci unit sick & it then kills self. Ask him to tape down the switch in 'run' position & observe. Consider having a spare Tci, the only troubleshooting possible is by swapping it with another.

That is what I want exactly. If some one who owns the new Thunderbird can provide me the picture, it would be very helpful.

There you go.

http://royalenfield.com/motorcycles/...-specification

There is a 'download owners manual' button Below the tech spec.

Well.. I am also surprised! I think even my '09 TBTS was having the wiring diagram in the OM. Cant verify, I lost the manual somewhere! Did you check the new TB350 manual too?

I have downloaded the 350's manual too. But there is no wiring diagram in it :-(

I think the only option for me is to get the latest wiring kit or at least the digital speedo socket.

Looks extremely cool. My quick cursory look make me think these are the cosmetic mods done to the DS

New seats with spring shocks
Blackened wheel spokes
Blackened front light fairing and even back side of ORVMs
Lovely bags in the front and saddle side

Anything else that I missed?

Looks very nice and please go ahead and do it for your bike as well

@mobike008
The seats aren't new, I guess but the seat springs have been coated black. The thing is i have given my bike for dismantle and I'm eagerly waiting for the service guys to finish it and then head straight to the booth. Service guys love to make us wait hi hi

Will post the pic of my bike once the job is done, apart from the parts you have mentioned above i am coating the gear side as well as the timing side.

the exhaust used is D&D from fort worth and it sounds awesome.
Sorry for consecutive post, while including link in the earlier post it created some spacing issues

here is a link to the video,
