Guess what! rode pillion with my dad to office today!! And i pleasantly surprised by the nice and high position the pillion has, My dad having been a biker was thoroughly enjoying the ride while i was looking for something to hold on to the darn thing doesn't have anything!! lol. It was just such a fun ride that couldn't care lesser about how the rear seat cushioning was a literal pain in the backside!
And everyone's expression at office was truly priceless, watching their 50+ boss ride in a yellow monster with his 20+ son riding pillion to office!! hahaha

hey guys having a little problem after the tune! the bike shuts down on idle after ridden for about 15 mins i guess when the engine is warmed up! tried increasing the idle to the 1250-1500 rpm range but didn't help. Will be taking it back for a checkup, any idea of what it could be?
Also my dad feels that leg guards are a must! i cant think of any that would look anything but hideous on this bike any suggestions?

I have a comet too, & have been looking for a good exhaust for it, but I've been unable to do so. I spoke to my mechanic, who also services superbikes, he said he'll give me a design & I could get it manufactured, but so far no progress. I'll grill him & maybe then he'll give me the design sometime. I'll post some pics later.

Ok you Comet boys, I have located two Scorpion exhausts for the GT250R on Motorcycle Exhaust and Accessories - Yoshimura Cobra Akrapovic Two brothers Jardine Scorpion Bub Rinehart Vance Hines Harley Exhaust Pipe Systems | Pipe City. The oval shaped costs 299$, the round shaped is a little cheaper at 269$

hey manson found quiet a few online but the real issue is the price after shipping and duty goes way off my budget :( !

Also read the following review from an a=earlier owner:-
Motorcyclist for Life: Hyosung Comet GT250: Sheer brilliance

The guy replied after my comment saying:-
I was in Pune when I got that aftermarket exhaust. I got it
custom-made from a guy in Pune, in the Kondhwa area. I don't remember
his name, but his workshop on the road that leads to Salunke Vihar,
right at the beginning.

My Comet never gave me any trouble whatsoever with the aftermarket
exhaust. On the contrary, the bike's performance improved quite a bit
after I junked the stock exhaust and cat-con. No PUC problems
either...

So if any pune guy knows who he's talking about and could give me a contact i can find out and theres 2 of us now

@p180v1: that would be great if we have a design at hand, fabrication won't be a problem, provided the guy designing it has the right knowledge! not trying to be skeptical, just sure!

Could the Pune guy be Akram? I suggest you touch base with out In-house exhaust expert - Straight6, he should be able to hook you up with Akram.

Yes you can add a custom made one
but it would really look out of place.

The custom exhaust guy is Shakeel & not Akram. He makes tuned(calculated) exhaust for various bikes including Indian.

I would suggest to keep the stock exhaust till you ride & know the bike enough to make any mods.

As for Leg guard if your dad is adamant then get one custom fabricated.

hey thanks technocrat! Will keep that in mind.
Would you hapen to have any contact for Shakeel?
More over my reason for getting a new exhaust is not for performance but to get the right note thats why considering only a muffler replacement and not the whole exhaust system, I'm more than happy with the power ive got as of now!
