Which was your first bike?

My only Bike : Yezdi classic - 250cc owining this since i was 19 and this great machine is still great guns. After getting on to cars, i use it once in a while for pleasure

Started with a superlite one : the Bajaj Platina. Have driven it at ease on speeds of 80 km everyday to office (late waking up) and still managed a FE above 75. Sedate driving and I was visiting Fuel stations only for tyre pressure. A good bike.

My first was Hero Puch 3G Shakti in my college days.

Those were the days where a Rs. 200 pocket money could fill fuel for the entire month and I could save some cash

However, I learn balancing on two wheels on my elder brother's Hero Jet and Bajaj Chetak was the first automobile I drove.

In my first year of engineering, I got my first bike which is a Hero Honda CD 100. I did some modifications the very next day I had it. It served me very well for almost 5 years before I sold it.

My first bike was a Scooter, Bajaj Chetak , markanda Blue in 1998.
Sold it after keeping for 2 years and bought a Bajaj Calliber, kept it for a long time and Sold it in 2009.
Never owned a bike after that

Started my riding spree on a Honda Activa. I was only 16 then. Covered great many memorable miles with her. Did a total of 18k kilometers on the odo. It's with my cousin in Chandigarh now, as after I joined college I shifted to much more powerful bike. Still miss her though...

Riding from Chandigarh to Shimla and back to Chandigarh on a rainy/chilly day with my cousin, still remains the most cherished ride of all times. Would never forget those 10 hours of absolute craziness. Nobody at home knew about us going on this adventurous trip. And even to date, if we tell them the truth, my dad rubbishes our claim to have done Chandigarh-Shimla-Chandigarh run on an Activa.

Learn't on my dads Yamaha Rx100, In 1994/95.
Got my first bike as Yamaha YBX. From 1999 To 2001.
Inherited a Royal Enfield from 2001 to 2011.
Currently owning a Yamaha Rx 135 5 Speed.

Suzuki Shogun followed with five more bosses, three BULLS one FIERO and an RD 350.

P.S. I remember how I used to take the trip of RX 100's with the high revving Shogun (No offence to R owners)

In 1992, 2nd year engineering, the first bike I ever wanted was a TVS Suzuki Supra SS. What I got instead (thanks to my mother's well meaning friends) was a TVS Astra!!

I (ab)used it for 7 years, and it never, ever, gave up on me.

Learnt on my brother's RX100, then was offered a cd100 as a runabout, but i was so adamant, and such a child, that my brother bought me an rx100 which belonged to one of his phoren gone friends!
Smoked away, then on!!

Read this thread and it took me to the good ole times where my object of desire was the Luna moped
A friend, 3 years my junior, used to ride the Luna and flaunt it, causing a lot of heartburn to me
That had fueled a strong desire to get the Luna as soon as I can
And viola, just after completing my 12th grade, i become the proud owner of a Explorer 50 cc mobike ( the one by Zundapp ). The biggest kick being earning the Rs. 4,200 I paid for the Explorer and later on even earning the few bucks needed to fuel up

Till date i have owned and ridden in the following order :
1. Explorer ( 50 cc ) by Zundaap (that was in 1986) me in first year college
2. Second hand Kinetic Honda ( which i bought and modified )
3. Brand New Kinetic Honda
4. Bajaj Kawasaki RTZ 125
5. New Activa
6. Bajaj KB 100
7. Bajaj Discover 125 DTSi

And then a big jump to the mothership

All of 1340 cc, 197 bhp of raw power - the 2010 Pearl White Hayabusa
Despoine is the current love of my life

hey, good to see a thread for the debut bike of us! Mine is (still having) a Yamy Gladiator 06 model (disc/self start).

Contemplated upgrading quite a few times, but fell short of motivation. Luv it still. Bought with 2 years of my career savings, with full down payment!

I fell in love with HH CBZ when it was released and took a test drive from a colleague. When I started earning I did not want anything else. Finally bought one after saving enough. It has been with me ever since. I now use it occasionally and stretch her legs on OMR once in a while.
