I changed filter and spark plugs in Oct 2013.
Honestly, not so major improvements after these. May be its too early to tell as the engine is still in break-in period. Though, i noticed improvement in mileage and acceleration. I was getting 28-29Kmpl with stock filter and plugs. After NGKs and K&N setup, i am getting solid 30Kmpl. Bike is lot smoother in 100-120KmpH band. Acceleration is smoother, as engine revvs more freely.
I tested the bike on Taj Expressway. Max i was able to attain was 135KmpH with a 75Kgs pillion.

Had a Sunday evening blast on the outskirts of Bangalore on newly laid 6 laned roads and some stretches of dirt roads on the boundary of the airport.

These roads are dead ends and probably laid for upcoming establishments related to aviation around the airport.

Some stretches were 3 kms straight 6 laned road and I was able to hit the claimed top on my CI500 after long which brought a smile to my face since the old girl still has it. Please note that these are zero traffic roads and dead ends and being a Sunday, there were no people around either.

It was a custom made thick gauge crash guard some time back. Now I think, it can be purchased off the shelf.

My standard 350 was ex-airforce and it had the same leg guards.I came to know it later that those kinda guards were only for the forces .

I really doubt if you can get it off the shelf as many people have asked me that they wanted mine after searching here and there.

I have an AVL350 Machismo (2000 March), I bought this from my friend in 2004 and has been my daily drive. Odo reading was somewhere around 30K when I got the bike, currently it is 84K.

Have been on several long weekend and year-end travels. These photos are from my Dec 2013 ride to Kerala (Valaparai, Athirappilly, Munnar and Thekkady).
