BTW what is the difference between ‘Std 350’ & ‘Deluxe’ except chrome?
On what ignition system your bike runs?

Having arrived in Delhi only in August last year it took me a while to figure out what I would do in terms of "wheels". I did look at some more classic cars, I'm a big classic car fan and own a few back in my home country the Netherlands.

Never been into motorcycles really. Certainly not the modern ones, impressive but just not my sort of stuff. I've always had an interest in old bikes, e.g. Triumph, BSA and of course Royal Enfield. So a little while ago I bit the bullet, pardon the pun, and bought myself a Royal Enfield. Picked it up over the weekend and drove it for a few hours for the first time this Sunday morning.

Congrats Jeroen. This has to be one of the best kept bullet that I ever laid my eyes on. Also, the color combination of the body and leather is so awesome there is no words to describe it

Thanks for the comments. I am really pleased with it.

It is basicly a 1975 Bullet, fully restored and a few new bits thrown in as well.
I opted for the five speed gear box, mainly it comes with a left shifter/right brake and that is more familiar for me.

I bought it at Joga Motor at Karol Bagh. I knew several guys who did the same and they all were very pleased with their respective bikes.

So it's completely repainted and each and every bit is completely overhauled.
I did look at the new Bullets as well, but decided to go for the real classic version. Also, there tends to be a monumental waiting list for a new RE. Joga Motors will deliver in 4-6 weeks. And its fun because you can watch every step of the process and see your bike being in bits and pieces.

In all honesty, I'm not that knowledgable on motor cycles or RE for that matter. So I'm not even sure how original all of this is, but I dont care. It looks fantastic. I like fiddling with everything mechanical/electrical as well, so I hope to do some of the basic maintenance myself. Typically on my cars I would do any maintenance/repair job myself, purely as hobby.

I've spend a few very enjoyable hours touring around Delhi, many more to follow. As a matter of fact, I took my first drive early last Sunday morning and I ran into a large group of RE bikers going the opposite way. Seems they were on a tour of some sorts. I've been trying to find out who they were. I see on Facebook there are several RE clubs active in Delhi.

I'll look into that THBP server, hadn't realized we had our own picture server.
