Front fork and disc brake assembly from Classic Pulsar

Came up at an apt time; my Rx's front suspension bottom is from Gladiator; it has been chipped slightly, no oil leaks though. We've requested for the bottom part...not sure Yamaha will sell one to us. If we don't get it...many Thanks to your post. We'll convert the entire kit to Pulsar's.

The carbs for 135 have become insanely nonsense. Forget the genuine one, even the replicas (decent word for duplicate) are sold for over 3K; if you know the spare parts dealer, it works to Rs 1800!! But for the family, I see no point in owning this white elephant anymore :crying

Hello All,

I have a RX100 -1990 model, and looking for a suggestion for front and rear tube-type tyres for my bike.

Front:
2.75X18

Rear:
3.00X18

Preferred brand: Michelin
Considering the road conditions, I prefer tyres for a good road grip in both wet and dry conditions. I don't have disc-brakes.

Budget:
Less than Rs.3000/- per tyre.

Kindly share me your experience and expert suggestion.

Thank you.

I recently bought Michelin Sirac for my RXZ. The price was 1,700 rupees with tube in Cochin. The grip is very good compared to other brands. I was planning to buy Metzeler ME22 3.00X18. But this tyre is not available in my area.

Hello All,

I have a RX100 -1990 model, and looking for:

1. Spark Plug Removal Tool - To remove spark plug from my RX100 and clean it at regular intervals.

2. Gear Oil Drain Spanner - To remove the bolt and drain the transmission/gear oil.

Please send me the amazon link to buy the above tools.

Thank you very much.

Installed NGK cable in RX. Since it has no joints, safe in rainy season. Works best with BPR7HIX Iridium plugs.

Some photos of my bike with BHPian prathiik's '87 RX100:

Stock bike looks brilliant.

We should do a photo session of our bikes together!

Hi guys, I'm thinking of restoring my uncle's 2003 RX 135. Any leads where (in Bangalore where I'm located) I can find original spares? I called up a few Yamaha dealers in Bangalore but none seem to be interested let alone have spares in stock. TIA!

Check out spare parts stores near your place, they usually have most OEM or aftermarket parts in stock. I was surprised to know this when I first came to Bangalore, but the sheer number of these old vehicles on this city's roads ensures parts availability at small spares stores too.

Ok, any leads for such stores? The ones I found online don't seem to have original spares. They said are all good quality products but not original Yamaha. I intend to use only original spares. TIA!

Here was my try with my Rx 135 5 speed some years back. Enfield Fury forks and alloy wheels.Worked great but for want of brake pads and brake shoes reverted back to stock form. Now it is sold to my friends young buddy. The forks remain with me for future experiments.

There's AB Auto Spares on Commercial Street, they have most of the original spares.
