Hi Vmax1200, is there a manufacturing date on the carton?. Just want to know if this an old stock tank or a recently manufactured one. If it was made recently by Yamaha, I will try one procuring here in Delhi.

Its new stock manufactured in September 2020.

Thanks for your response Vmax 1200.

My RX135 (1999 model) I bought it in the condition below, and restored it immediately, was lucky to get most of the parts as OEM, some were from vendors but good ones. Got a good mechanic at Madurai who has worked with a dealer for Yamaha for about 10 years, and he loves what he does, he was equally interested and curios, he gave me a lot of ideas, and ensured the amazing paint job - suitable to my taste.

I spent 35k on buying it in as it is condition and spent another 35 to 40k on restoration. The alloys and disc were from my Gladiator SS125, which I used 10 years before (which is now being used by my office employee) I swapped the spoke wheel of RX to that. The RX is a keeper.

Very nicely done. Even when you move away from stock, some parts just gel. And some look grotesquely out of place. You've managed the former very well. Though if I must nit-pick, I'm not liking the chrome and black thing on the engine casing too much.

Cheers, Doc

Hello all, I recently bought a 1997 RXG 135 and have been looking to source some parts for it. Can anyone suggest a good place where I can find OE Parts for it in Mumbai?

While cleaning the store room, found this Rx100 cylinder kit. I bought this in the year 2012 from Yamaha dealer in Saudi Arabia. I went there for stock audit and while checking the non-moving stock, I found this. Since it was old stock, I got it for a good price.

If you wish to sell it, please give it to me, I’m running on last oversize piston on my 1996 rx100 and might have to get the bore sleeved next time.

Why dont you reach out to Raymonds Garage in Koramangala? The owner is very knowledgeable and several members including me, have gone to him for getting our bikes serviced there. I have seen several two strokers worked on in his garage. Google Maps link.

Another popular garage is Highlander in HSR Layout but I havent heard of them working on two strokes. Maybe they do, I dont know. I have only heard excellent things about their workmanship from multiple big bike owners.

Greetings Neil,
Thanks a Ton for the advice and the Google maps link! Any phone number available for Raymond's Garage?
I'm gonna reach out to them ASAP, today being Sunday and 26th being a holiday, I really don't know if they would be open. But will give it a shot nevertheless!
Regards,
Bala

Raymond usually doesnt open on Sundays. His number is listed here. Contact.

You can see some more positive feedback on his garage in this post GS150R. Im sure there are more posts on the forum, he is a trusted name in the biking circle in Bangalore.

I used to take my old Pulsar 150 and my Yamaha R15 to him for service. Ive also got some work done on my Continental GT 535 at his garage.

Hi Neil,
Thanks a million for your Advice and guidance. I'll speak to Raymond right away.
Regards,
Bala
