My Dad's restored RX100 ( 34 years old )

Corona effect, got time to rebuild my RXG and live in the past.

I had been to my friend's farmhouse and there were a few bikes hidden under a tarpaulin. Found this beauty in stock condition (1990 model), no repaint at all. It was instant love. He says these bikes fetch over a lakh, but I'm quite content with my new gen Honda to even consider buying one

Paint theme is from RX135, launched during 1997.
'no repaint' is impossible.

Agree. The original ones came in red. The maroon here came much later.

Cheers, Doc

It's a RX 135 4 Speed from what I can see, which was launched around 1997.

Don't go blindly with the badge, it could be a RX100 with 135 badge. Below are couple of such cases from my stable

This is RX135, with RXG badge

This is a beautiful job. If I'm not mistaken only the indicators look a bit bigger than stock? You even have the ribbed front tyres. :)

Cheers, Doc

To me it looks stock.

Few stuffs borrowed from other RX series (RXG/RX135) were the handle grips, seat foam and chain guard (I may be wrong here, going by the position of chain slack inspection window), Rear tyre (looks like 3.00x18)

Beyond a doubt, it's got OE looks. Reason to say OE looks & not OE is because, now a days, there're imitations of OE Minda, sadly :(

Grown up with the originals (am of that vintage).

Maybe it was the photo angle but they looked a tad bigger. Something about them did not look original.

Cheers, Doc

Original fuel tank for Rx100 is available in authorized spare parts dealers. Price is 4,100. Attaching picture of the tank.

Hi Vmax1200, is there a manufacturing date on the carton?. Just want to know if this an old stock tank or a recently manufactured one. If it was made recently by Yamaha, I will try one procuring here in Delhi.
