Thanks for your suggestion Pramod/Mr Boss. I have got the Continental Metro Conti Revolution 3.00 x 17 tyres. Could not find the similar pattern for the front. Would you advise a 3.00 x 17 tyre for the front too? Apart from the front end getting slightly heavy, what other impact would it have? Is it advisable?

Have you tried Raymond's Garage in Koramangala? I always see some old Yammies there and Ive had very good experiences with him over several years.

Why similar pattern is required on the front? Tire patterns were designed based on various considerations and it is better to avoid certain tires designed for rear wheel on the steerable front wheel. Next coming to the size, I hope 2.75 width is more than sufficient for regular driving conditions (more heavier pulsar do use the same spec). 3.00 width will make the front end heavier, more effort to steer the bike, and I doubt if the stock mud guard could accommodate the width.

Michelin Sirac Street or CEAT Secura Zoom. These are better than Zapper and Birla tires (from my experience)

In my opinion there is no specialist at least in Chennai. Every mechanic claims he is and at the end you will be duped for huge money and have bad parts, poor performing bike with things falling apart sooner than you think.
I learnt it the hard way, lost a lot of original parts.
Best bet is take the parts manual, start ticking what all parts you will need. Slowly buy all of it. And finally take a few days off from routine, sit with an entrusted mechanic who can put things together.
Finding a good painter will give you a lot of leads where you can get other job done.

I just came across your RX100 today. It looks amazing - the black/golden color scheme has really transformed the RX100. If I am not wrong , those are Pulsar front forks, alloys and rear shocks right? I have decided on a similar setup on my RX as well. The front fork / wheel has been fitted. The rear has to be fitted - for which I am looking for some information. What exactly are the modifications that are required to fit the rear wheel of rhe Pulsar? If you could help me with the exact modifications and cost involved ?

Thank you for your kind words. As I have mentioned earlier, I have done a lot of work over the period of years and don't have track of the cost involved, which would be anyway much higher at present if you do the same mods. You're correct and the front and rear are Pulsar parts. The rear is a complete Pulsar set along with the swingarm which should be a direct fit. Its longer from the stock RX swingarm and helps in straightline stability. It was transfered from my RD 200 to the RX. Also its easier to procure Pulsar parts if you need to replace anything. I recently Picked RX100 1989 single owner with all documents. It has stock paint and most of the part as stock. However i want to restore it to original condition. Need help in getting trusted mechanic in and around bangalore. here are few pictures. I got it to bangalore by road. 240 KMs. not issues. Has some issue with front suspension. Otherwise bike behaved flawlessly.
