Techno, no like flyte?
Didnt check wifey not keen & i have doubts on future service.
Am not sure how much better the Combi brakes & also it means one more complex part for no substancial benefit.
As for access the activa itself is expensive no point going above that.
We are still keen on the activa but if the waiting scene doesnt improve we may go for pleasure

Hi ,If your are thinking of buying of pleasure ,why don't you give a look at Streak it has almost same power don't go by stats as i drove both the scooters but did not found any perticular difference in power.

@Technocrat

Why not a Honda Dio? Wify and I liked it for its lightweight and manouverability.

But this also has a stupid weighting period.

Great to see partnering with BBH hope to see good advertise, but Most of the Indians prefer the Emotional Adds, like Hero Honda adds.

Can you tell me the mileage difference between Pep and Dio..?
[/b]
Am sure the test mule did not carry actual body parts deliberately. The front end had TVS Pep and rear end Activa parts. Looks like TVS has consciously opted to keep the final product away from spying eyes which is why am saying they must have done a pretty good job in the design front.

Regarding Fuel efficiency between the Pep+ and Dio they give similar mileage at about 40 per litre give and take a km or two. The last service I have moved to synthetic engine oil for the Dio hence have been revving higher than normal so I should be down the normal mileage I used to get.

With Mahindra on board, company survival and service should not be an issue. Handling will be better and safer due to forks.

@parimal - She currently has an old scooty so want something totally different which means no TVS.
I wont buy any Bajaj.

@JVH- I had suggested Dio but she didnt like it.

@Deep - Hmm while I had liked the features of Flyte it was the brand I wasnt sure of, I am still not but now that you say, I would check out the Rodeo too.

At the end it all boils down to her

Best is to have her take long test-rides of both flyte and Pleasure on the same day. Don't go by reports and opinions alone.

I am not aware how many of us have used/ ridden the Kinetic Zing 80. I have one which is a 2005 model. In the first couple of years it was rarely ridden. Since the last two years, the bike has done almost 48000 kms. I used to ride it daily to office and pick up a friend on the way. The daily round trip was around 50 kms. I weigh in at 95 kgs almost, friend 65.
This bike never complained. It is superb to drive in traffic, has great pick up and is CHEAP to maintain. However, parts availability is a problem and now I have decided to give her a break.

Mahindra Rodeo is almost looks like Flyte (except the front part).
Wonder how much mileage it will give?

Flyte is a good scooter (I own one since last one year- bought when she was under Kinetic), good suspension, good luggage space etc but bad on fuel consumption.
It never crossed more than 30/33 kmpl which is very low in the 125cc segment.
Every service I make it a point to check on the mileage problem, they promise, but the status remain same.
Thanks

I am surprised no one in this forum talks about Honda Aviater IMO after owning it for more than 1.5 years i consider it the best amoung the lot as its a blend between comfort, style, mileage, design, speed, space etc

Booked Rodeo

Booked Rodeo yesterday. Looks like it will take a month for delivery. Trivandrum has only one dealer, they have around 10 bookings so far.

Saw the blue, red and Maroon color Rodeo, red looks better. The blue is not at all like in the photos, it is a very different shade, more like old kinetic honda greyish blue.

Check with HH they now have a waiting for 45 days for pleasure. This is simply ridiculous why cant they have ready availability for scooters? I dont see such problem with bikes, I have bought 3 bikes & never faced this issue.
