Simple Energy has launched the Gen 1.5 of the One electric scooter. The latest iteration offers an improved range and other changes. It is priced at Rs 1.66 lakh (ex-showroom).



Simple Energy has made finer adjustments to the battery algorithm as part of the Gen 1.5 update, which has improved the IDC range from 212 km to 248 km. The e-scooter comes with a floor-mounted 3.7 kWh battery and an additional 1.3 kWh portable battery pack.

The Simple One continues to be powered by an 8.5 kW electric motor that has a peak torque output of 72 Nm. The scooter is capable of accelerating from 0-40 km/h in 2.77 seconds and has a top speed of 105 km/h.

The overall design of the 2025 Simple One remains unchanged. It comes with features such as navigation, park assist, a USB charging port, regenerative braking, TPMS and updated riding modes.

I did visit the site out of curiosity and it does have a pre-book option , I am presuming that once you prebook the actual launch dates will be out. Again pardon my assumption that it is not launched yet and I base that on the info that it says prebook and not buy now !

They upgraded before a launch which could mean they are serious about the product ! They better launch quickly and establish their centres if they want to succeed - that segment is heating up real fast !

I've seen a few of these scooters in person in Bangalore, and they definitely look good, although I don't know its performance. It looks improvisation of Ather 450, particularly the rear design.
