An interesting look if nothing else... is the number '24' customisable as per customer's choice? :D

I wonder if there is still a long way to go before they announce a facelift (for the lack of a better word) version of the SG and SM 650 bikes just like they are planning on launching the 750 interceptor and GT

Does anybody have any idea about this? Any RE bhpians around to advice on this? :)

I am sorry, but this is just horrible. RE limited editions have mostly been visually appealing, even if they were not always "limited". But this is plain bad.

Someone said Shotgun 650 Kinder Joy edition and I can't unsee it now.

It is Icon.

I'd say it is well designed, but only in terms of 'how befitting it is to Icon's designs'.

Although, I agree with you in that it is not 'visually appealing' to me. But I invite you to first knock yourself out browsing Icons Helmets, Jerseys, etc. and then come to appreciate how RE has done a good job here.

Still doesn't look like a good job to me. Eye of the beholder and all that.

Icon did a great job with their Honda Interceptor (again subjective, I agree) so they are not always this garish. This just looks like they are forcing something that doesn't sit right. No offence to prospective owners.

Edit: here is the Honda Interceptor mod by Icon

Let us agree to disagree on this one.

I thought the bike OEMs do the design. Anyway, I agree that the Icon Interceptor looks like a better job. But also can't help but feel like 'maybe that's because they (Icon/Honda) didn't do much?'

I've seen such graphics/decals on many Honda bikes, and the Icon's Interceptor looks like they've just added some stickers on top (of an already good-looking bike). A simple visual search gives me these:

Off-topic, but this exemplifies how RE now habitually throws around words like 'Legacy', 'Heritage', etc. without ever giving it an iota of thought.

Surely, this wasn't an endowment from RE to 25 lucky fans. 25 people have just bought the special edition. Has the 'legacy' not just started? Or is it that RE considers their sales to be their 'legacy' now?

This entire thing is nothing but a big scam. I was one of the few who had taken the time and try to buy one.

Logged in at 8:30pm saw the buy now button and paid amount via UPI. I got the confirmation mail and it was mentioned that a representative will reach out to me.

I picked up all calls ( including a lot of bank loan and scam calls ) but didnt receive one. Now when i emailed them back asking status, I have been given the excuse call wasnt connected and there is no allocation done for me.

The entire thing has put me off Royal Enfield after 13 years of ownership, and although I should have followed up sooner, this isnt an acceptable excuse that your call wasnt connected.

Maybe time to save up more and buy a Triumph or Kawasaki. Atleast for me, the Legacy of RE ended with this vehicle.
