Pre-loved Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 Recon as a daily driver

Hi all,

I’m considering a used Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 Recon for my daily commute—22 km to and fro through peak Bengaluru traffic. Given that my car commute takes 3.5 hours on average, I finally got the green light from the home minister to buy a bike for the first time in my adult life!

Requirement (in the order):
  • Safety
  • Comfort
  • Fun to ride(don't want to regret my purchase)

My Riding Profile:
Height: ~5'9"
Weight: 92 kg (fairly heavy build)
Arm Length: Shorter than average for my height
Bikes I’ve Tried (and Why They Didn’t Work):
KTM Duke (all variants) – Uncomfortable and unrefined
Triumph 400 & 400X – Uncomfortable and felt meh to me
BMW GS and 390 Adventure – Didn't feel like the right bike for my need for daily commutes.
Honda CB300R – Comfortable but lacked excitement
Budget - Not really worried about the budget (1-8L)

Why F77?
I recently came across a pre-loved F77 Mach 2 Recon and took a short 3 km test ride (~20 mins). Surprisingly, it felt comfortable to me—which is rare. However, I’m confused because online reviews are either extremely positive or completely dismissive of the bike.

Key Concerns:
Is the F77 Recon a good choice for daily Bengaluru commuting?
Should I consider other bikes instead?
I initially wanted to wait for the Tuono 457, but after test-riding the RS 457, I realized I want to avoid excessive heat.
Would love to hear from anyone with real-world experience or insights!

Thanks in advance! 😊

The Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 Recon is an excellent bike with a high range, a powerful electric motor and top-spec electronics, however, the price is quite high and the dealership network is limited. If budget isn't a constraint, why not buy a new one, or even better wait for the F99?
