So Yamaha will display this Brazil market Lander 250 dual sport at Bharat Mobility Expo this year.

It's powered by a 249cc air cooled engine producing 20hp and 20Nm of torque. If that sounds familiar, it's the exact same engine as the FZ-25. That engine is mated to a 5spd gearbox.

Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks upfront with 220mm travel, and rear monoshock with 200mm travel.

Wet weight is 160kgs, as per Yamaha Brazil's website, and fuel capacity is 13.6 litres.
The LCD display has bluetooth connectivity as well.

The seat height however is 875mm.

Yamaha Brazil website, if it insists for a zip code, try 69932-000. That's the code for Brasilia.

It could just be a showcase so that their stand doesn't appear empty, I don't think this would be sold here.

This and the XRE 300 has the right ingredients to be the perfect entry level dual sports/light advs for our market but I guess we will never see them on our roads. Considering it is based on the FZ25 engine, they can even price it very attractively if they wish so.

Re: Yamaha Lander 250 Dual Sport to be displayed at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

The 250cc engine was already made in India 7 yrs ago. This bike would have been superhit if launched back then, now the competition has moved way ahead with Xpulse & Himalayan moving to liquid cooled engines and modern styling. This would still sell well if priced appropriately, good alternative to KLX.

Re: Yamaha Lander 250 Dual Sport to be displayed at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

This bike is just a FZ25 in slightly different clothes, considering that FZ25 was dropped from the market with the BS6.2 norms kicking in, don't think it will come to India.
