Re: Bajaj teases a new Pulsar RS model; Is it the RS400?

All this hype for this..!!
It was the most busy-looking bike in India and now they updated with just a gimmick.

XMR will be the direct competitor, and I'm sure that will beat it in every aspect. (not sure about sales)

Re: Bajaj teases a new Pulsar RS model; Is it the RS400?

Dont understand the hate to be honest....
I absolutely dig the bike. People keep complaining, but it keeps selling... remember they didn't update a thing on it for 9 years and it kept selling steady...
9 years is a LOT OF time mind you....

The new tail section is radical and will grow on people. Wish they smoothed out the front fairing....its sorta busy with a lot of cuts and lines...

Anyway, the changes incorporated are indeed welcome!

Re: Bajaj teases a new Pulsar RS model; Is it the RS400?

The Pulsar RS200 is a nice bike, but look at it in flesh and you feel that the bike lacks cohesion in terms of design. Something just doesn't click.

I considered this one two years back when I got a bike for myself. But could not come to terms with how busy the side profile was, or how weird the tail lamps looked. I wished the tail lamps were two simple cylindrical circles sitting below the tail just above the number plate, complimenting the twin circular headlights in the front. I wished the side profile was simpler with unnecessary recesses removed. They did not even have to look far for inspiration, the Pulsar 220F was right there.

The 2025 version's tail light look like two legs, sole facing the person riding behind this bike. I was hoping something better this time, but sadly nothing really strikes in this iteration as well.

Re: Bajaj teases a new Pulsar RS model; Is it the RS400?

What a pathetic launch and update this is. And they are charging 10k more for this nonsense over the previous version. I will not recommend this bike to even my worst enemy. Not because it isnt a good product, but because of the laziness of Bajaj. That tail lamp design is just horrendous. Ugly execution. One actually has to praise Hero for coming up with the Karizma XMR from scratch.

Perhaps in the greater interest of catering towards the aftermarket community of the RS200 Bajaj has intentionally made the rear end that much atrocious. It's almost inviting aftermarket manufacturers to come up with better designs ASAP so that owners can unbolt that rear end.

Oh, the ugly got uglier! That's just the laziest job done for an updated/facelifted version of any automobile.

With the number plates on, the tail section looks a lot better.
Bajaj could link the two halves and market it as, the first bike to get connected tail lamps lol.

Not a huge fan of the RS but the tail is an infinitely better design than the last one. The integrated taillights is a fad that should not stay for too long. It's very hard to tell apart in strong sun.

From the OG Pulsar that'd still turn heads in traffic today, Bajaj sure have trundled a long way down U-G-L-Y lane.

Do design houses withhold salary for clean drawings these days?

Re: Bajaj teases a new Pulsar RS model; Is it the RS400?

And here we go again! Bajaj murdering the Pulsar with every new model. After Pulsar 200f and somewhat NS200, all newer models don't look like Pulsars anymore, but Discovers etc. Sad to see Pulsars like this, which was once a legend.

Re: Bajaj teases a new Pulsar RS model; Is it the RS400?

I honestly don't understand the hate this is getting. The RS200 was always a good looking bike and looked fresh even today. I think the tail looks much better than before. It also has good performance even by today's standards.
Only thing it lacked was tech and features which I think has been addressed pretty well by Bajaj. It gets stuff like fully digital console, bluetooth connectivity and even a slipper clutch.

Would have been nice to see some changes to the side profile of the fairing and some better color schemes though.

Re: Bajaj teases a new Pulsar RS model; Is it the RS400?

After the NS400Z, pretty much anything in its ballpark will have a tough time selling for Bajaj especially with todays riders who prefer to straightaway jump to the 300-400cc class. Even the Dominar. It is extremely rare that I see a RS200 from 2022 and onwards, only the older yellow-red colours a couple of them here and there. This ugly update was unnecessary and overpricing it? certainly not with that design. DOA, honestly.

Re: Bajaj teases a new Pulsar RS model; Is it the RS400?

Not a fan of this tail/indicator light combo. With the tail light doubling up as indicator lights, what will happen when someone with hazard lights switched on applies the brakes. will the brake light get priority over the flashing indicators ?
