KTM has officially started accepting pre-bookings for the 390 Adventure S and 390 Enduro R in India. Prices are expected to be announced next month, while deliveries will commence in February 2025.



The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure S and 390 Enduro R models were recently unveiled at the 2024 India Bike Week. The Adventure S slots between the ‘X’ and ‘R’ variants. Enduro R is also based on the same platform.

The 390 Adventure S is equipped with an adjustable USD fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. It rides on wire-spoke wheels with a 21-inch rim at the front and a 17-inch rim at the back and gets disc brakes at both ends supported by dual-channel ABS.



The Enduro R gets wide handlebars with knuckle guards. It has a flatter seat compared to the 390 Adventure. It has a small headlamp with a raised fender and a digital instrument console.

Both the 390 Adventure S and Enduro R will use the same 399cc single-cylinder engine that powers the 390 Duke. It produces 45 BHP and 39 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Prebooked a white 390 adv s, since its just 2k and fully refundable. Based on the price etc I will take future decision. Moreover KTM is going through financial trouble, so will have to see what finally happens. Himalayan 450 is the main contender as of now (but since I will have to book the tubeless spokes so it won't be refundable with MIY). Further decision will be taken when more details are out. Usually I wait for a few month to know the issues for new releases, but will have to make an exception for the 390 adv s, especially with the new electronics/cruise control it may be priced higher than the existing tubed spoked wheels.

I am eagerly waiting for this. And now also the TVS Apache RTX which was spied recently. I hope KTM prices this sensibly since we will need to accessorize for the actual stuff. And I do want the Adv S with alloys. The Adv X will drop cruise control and some other hardware which IMO is too much of a downgrade.

Honestly don't see the point of an X model that is stripped down instead of being more road-biased. As for the Adv R, KTM is waiting for RE to make the first move. The Himalayan Rally will decide if market demand even exists for that kind of motorcycle or not.

On a lighter note, they are waiting to see if they can retain their factories itself in Austria Things don't look too good, when their Christmas Salaries are not paid: https://motorcyclesports.net/ktm-ag-...ore-christmas/ . Unless Bajaj/CFMOTO takes up their slack, the KTM top management has really dug up a deep hole. We shouldn't have been here, but yet here we are.

However KTM parts are interchangeable, so KTM Adv X can be modded up to be mechanically similar to any other of it's variants except the electronics. Let's see if they price it right. If they keep the S variant within 20 k to the older Std variant then they have a case (but my guess is it will be around 3.7-3.8 Ex showroom). If RE can charge 16K premium for just swapping colors then KTM is allowed to get a little hike I suppose. However lets wait till Jan.

2025 KTM 390 Adventure S to be launched on January 30

KTM has announced that the 390 Adventure S will be launched in India on January 30.



The KTM 390 Adventure S was showcased at the 2024 India Bike Week. It is positioned between the ‘X’ and ‘R’ variants.

The 390 Adventure S is based on a steel trellis frame suspended by a 43 mm WP Apex USD fork at the front and a WP mono-shock at the rear. The bike rides on wire-spoke wheels with a 21-inch rim at the front and a 17-inch rim at the rear.

The 390 Adventure S is powered by the familiar 399cc single-cylinder engine that produces 45 BHP and 39 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The ‘S’ variant comes with features like an LED headlamp, a digital instrument console, and dual-channel ABS.

Yes there'll be an X variant on offer. Not sure if it'll be launched alongside the S.

Fingers crossed for the price to be sub 5 lacs for the Adv S. With Hero's Xpusle 410 announced, many might hold on to their decision of putting down 5 lac rupees on this. The way hero has priced Xpulse 210, 410 would be very much affordable to common man. Interesting times ahead for motorcycle enthusiasts.

From what I recall, this was showcased at EICMA, but I haven’t seen or heard any updates during the IBW launch or from any Indian media. Just curious to know more.

As of now, the Adventure R is not being released in India. They mentioned another model, the Adventure X, at IBW, which is expected to be the base variant, but they haven't revealed it anywhere yet. I believe they will launch the Enduro R, Adventure S, and Adventure X on the 30th. I also think they will release the Adventure S with spoked wheels, as most reviewers at IBW have pointed out.

I hope the price diff is not too much. If it is too much higher, it would be easier to get the Adv-X and get the wheels swapped later. I am excited like a kid.

Man what a disappointing reveal event if it is even happening somewhere. No price, no live stream. Heck even the India website is not updated.

I am starting to think there was no 'India' launch planned at all, just a public unveil (which was already moot since EICMA and IBW)
