Ather Energy is now offering an extended warranty of 8 years / 80,000 km on its battery packs. It will be available only to those customers who opt for the Pro Pack.



Ather currently offers a 5-year / 60,000 km warranty on its electric scooters, which can now be extended to 8 years / 80,000 km. It covers ‘battery deep discharge’ if the scooter is left idle for long periods of time, provides 70% battery health assurance for up to 8 years, free labour costs after warranty claim, and is transferrable.

The Pro Pack costs between Rs 13,000 and Rs 20,000, depending on the e-scooter. Pro customers can avail of the 8-year / 80,000 km warranty by paying an additional Rs 4,999.

The Pro Pack also gives customers access to additional riding modes and features like guide-me-home lights, coasting regen, navigation, two / theft notifications, ride stats and inter-city parking; among others.

Looks like everyone is bracing up for Honda's entry. My neighbour just picked up an Ola at a great discount. Ola also announced a removable battery for its commercial scooters. Now, Ather is giving 8 year warranty.
