Honda unveils its first performance-electric motorcycle concept Honda has revealed two electric two-wheeler concepts at the recently held EICMA 2024, in the form of the EV Fun & EV Urban.
The Honda EV Fun concept is the brand's first-ever performance-oriented electric motorcycle, which it claims is nearly production-ready. The electric motorcycle concept comes in the form of a naked sports model, equivalent to a mid-size ICE-powered sports bike. Honda claims that the motorcycle will come packed with a substantial, non-removable battery pack positioned in the same place as the engine on a conventional bike. The EV Fun motorcycle is also said to offer a range exceeding 100 km on a single charge.
The Honda EV Urban concept, on the other hand, comes in the form of an extended maxi-scooter design, similar to the BMW CE 04. Specifics about the Honda EV Urban maxi-scooter concept, though, are scarce. Both concepts are said to be part of the brand's plan to introduce 30 new electric two-wheelers by 2030.
Closer to home, Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India has announced the unveiling of its first electric two-wheeler for the Indian market. The new electric two-wheeler from the brand is said to arrive on November 27.
