2024 Royal Enfield Classic | 1:3 Limited Edition scale model unveiled | Priced at 94,990

Yes, you read that right! Scale model at INR 94,990/-

With that shock out of the way - Royal Enfield first showcased the 1:3 scale model, inspired by the Classic 500 at Rider Mania 2022, which was later launched at Rs 67,990. More details on the earlier version here - https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motor...c-scooter.html (Royal Enfield Classic 500 scale model costs as much as a 100cc scooter)

The company has now announced that limited quantities of these handcrafted pieces will be available for a flash sale on October 15, 2024 at 12:15 pm.

This will be a 1:3 scale model artfully crafted with 964 components. Measuring 780 mm in length, 380 mm in width, and 261 mm in height, the models will be available in seven colour options - Chrome Black, Maroon Chrome, Forest Green Chrome, Teal Green, Battle Green, Gun Grey, and Jet Black. Each hand-built model weighs 8.5 kg and features wire-spoke wheels, a peashooter exhaust, and a rider-only seat with springs, using materials derived directly from the actual motorcycle.

Commenting on the launch, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Chief Commercial Officer, Royal Enfield, stated, "The 1:3 scale models initially started as an internal passion project, with no commercial intent. What began as a homage to our love for motorcycling, has evolved into a one-of-a-kind offering and a collection item for those who truly appreciate Royal Enfield’s storied heritage and legacy. On popular demand, we are happy to announce the re-introduction of these scaled models and honoring the spirit of pure motorcycling cherished by our community."

For die hard fans with deep pockets? Wonder if it will ever appreciate in value at all. Btw how successful was the 2022 model sale?

To me personally, I might as well save up a bit and get the new real classic. Am not sure if this is a scale model I would like in my living room considering the sarcastic reactions and comments am sure to get if the price was to be revealed. Wish RE owned the Bimota or Buell or Ducati!

I just wish they would give me my tubeless gold wheels!!

I have one of the earlier smaller scale models RE brought out a couple of years ago.

Would love to get some more information on this 1:3 model. I can’t access this store website for some reason.

This is something I would totally buy when renovating my house. Just so darn cool. Yes, one could buy a real motorcycle too, but a 1:3 scale model will take up 1/3rd the space in the living room.

It's the ultimate showpiece

I actually googled to get a sense of the size, fit etc And i came out impressed. The fit, finish and attention to detail is very very high. Precision finished working components like levers, oil filler cap, side stand, kick..good stuff. I still wouldn't get one though - it's just not retro enough for me. I wish they do a model of the bullets from an era when the front number plate used to be mounted vertically on the mud gaurd. That's something I could consider!

For that size and price, I think only commercial establishments (eg: clothing, restaurants, pubs, malls etc ) might be interested, as part of interior decor.

They could buy an actual used model and paint it and display.

Die hard fans of the brand, might collect this model.

Re: 2024 Royal Enfield Classic | 1:3 Limited Edition scale model unveiled | Priced at 94,990

Not that I am a potential buyer, but just asking out of curiosity as an RE enthusiast.

(1) The picture shows the older Classic with the UCE engine. Do they have the J series one as well, or it's just the UCE ones that are on sale as scale models?

(2) Did RE not do the same series a couple of years ago, at INR 65000/- or something? Is there something new this time?

Sorry about these basic questions, but their official website seems accessible only from India.

This doesn't look like 1:3 at all to me, may be 1:7 or something? Or my sense of proportions is all wrong

I thought 1:3 would be the size of like a cycle that 3 years old kids ride or the size of a dog. This one seems like the size of a cat.

Well , for the exhorbitant price, I would like it to have a working engine/lights as well. Miniature ICEs exist. There are detailed models like these for many brands available outside India. Doesn't make sense in the Indian market for the current price is all. The video said it's not available for international shipping. The target customer is the international buyer! McLaren, BMW, Rolls Royce, all major brands do this.

Re: 2024 Royal Enfield Classic | 1:3 Limited Edition scale model unveiled | Priced at 94,990

This one is made by Pocher.
Their model kits usually retail at 700 USD unassembled. This one s priced at par with pre assembled ones.
I wish they had the kits for sale too. The pleasure of assembling one at home would be priceless.
I have an old catalogue/booklet from 50s safely tucked away at home which highlights their then newest model offering. A Rolls Royce series II IIRC.
I am tempted to post that booklet pages here and suddenly this miniature motorcycle would feel a work of art. A value proposition.
At 78 cms long, this is indeed one third the length of the classic 500. I saw one on display at Royal Enfield showroom in Baga, North Goa. Fans should lap it up. Pochers are real deal.

As much as I agree with you on this, there is apparently a customer base for these models. The entire lot (not sure how many) was sold out within a short span of time, and RE Apparel asked the rest of the potential buyers on the IG account to wait for the 'next drop'.

And even in the comments section of that post, there were many people who were sad that they missed out. It was a bit of an eye-opener for me as well to be honest.

RE does sell small lots in their export markets as well through their dealerships. In April this year, the same Classic 500 1:3 models were on sale here in Japan by the official RE importer for a sum of JPY 2.64 lacs (close to 1.5 lacs in INR) each and they were sold out on the same day.

Thank you for this valuable information! It makes sense why the prices are seemingly so high. Although one of these is not within my reach at the moment, I will definitely save up and get one in the future.
