How to contact Honda 2-wheeler's customer care and offices | A short guide

This is a short guide for contacting Honda motorcycles & Scooter India customer care and offices. The things mentioned in this post are not new or out of the box. This is based on my 9 months valiant experience trying to follow up the issues with my brand new Honda Unicorn BS6 OBD2 2023 bike with Honda customer care. You could read my long term negative review of Unicorn here.
Applicable for 2024 model also!

When to contact Honda motorcycles customer care and Offices?
  1. When the service centre doesn’t provide a solution or you are not satisfied with their response.
  2. To speed up things and make them accountable.
How to contact?

The toll free customer care number is 1800-103-3434. Getting connected is fairly easy and the available time is from 8 AM to 9 PM. Three language options are available -English, Hindi and Tamil.

First send a detailed mail regarding the issues to customercare@honda.hmsi.in and then register a complaint by calling in the toll free. During the call you have to tell them that I have already sent my complaint through mail and then confirm your mobile number, email id and vehicle number etc. You will get a complaint number and a callback from the service center after this. If you didn't get a proper solution on repeated attempts, you may try contacting the respective Zonal office as the next step and later in the regional office.

How to contact offices?

In all the offices, security personnel will be attending your calls and note your number/info etc and they will hand it to the office. They may or may not call back. There is no official way to talk with the office people unless they call back. They won't talk through the office number which security personnel attend. Please don't scold the security personnel, they are helpless!

The contact number of the registered Honda office (Plot No. 1 , Sector - 03, IMT Manesar, Distt. Gurugram, Haryana – Tel: +91(0)124-2290011,+91(0)6712800) is just for showing on the website. Nobody will attend customer calls.

I am adding the contact number of Honda Zonal Office, Cochin for customers in Kerala - 0484-4029450 (currently not available in website).

Things to include in the mail
  • Detailed version of the problems faced- narration of all events with dates, attachments etc
  • Vehicle number, Name of the service center, Total odometer reading, engine number, chassis number
After the first mail, you have to keep sending emails about each and every development on the same thread on the same day itself. In this way you will have a record of the entire events if things take longer time for getting solved or reach dead end. Above all, you will have a documented proof! If it's a dead end, you would have figured out what to do next by the time!

Thank You!

Re: How to contact Honda 2-wheeler's customer care and offices | A short guide

Thank you very much for providing the information regarding the zonal office. I was not aware of that. I recently encountered a problem with a warranty claim at the service center(Honda Bigwing). The servuce adviser declined my warranty request, stating that the part in question is not covered under the warranty. There was a slight discrepancy between the part name mentioned in the extended warranty PDF and the one stated in the bill.(I initially paid for the part replacement out of my own pocket).
Once I got home, I decided to send an email to Honda's customer service to express my concern regarding the issue.(customercare@honda2wheelersindia.com). The service center contacted me the following day to inform me that the there is no warranty for those parts. The lady who called me lacked technical knowledge about these parts. She eventually spoke with the service manager to provide me with the precise names of the replaced parts. I discovered that one of the components was actually covered under the warranty.I showed them the PDF and respectfully pointed out the name of the part. They finally agreed on that part and filed the claim. It was approved, and I received a refund.
Even if it is a small part or a small amount, it is the right thing to do to stand up for what is right. Honda BigWing seriously needs to train their advisors better to handle parts and warranty claims efficiently. They shouldn't just deny warranty claims without a valid reason.
