Honda has filed a design patent for the NX125 scooter in India. The NX125 is currently sold in the international market but Honda might have plans to introduce it in the Indian market.



The Honda NX125 has a sporty design with an aggressive-looking front apron that houses dual LED headlamps. It has a single-piece seat.

The NX125 is powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 8.7 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 9.7 Nm. The engine is paired with a CVT.

The suspension setup on the NX125 consists of a telescopic fork at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear. The scooter rides on stylish alloy wheels and is equipped with a front disc brake.

Honda India already has a strong line up of scooters and they are the market leaders. So, I wish they could experiment with 160 cc engine than another 125 cc.

They already have scooters in 150cc and 160cc segments but not in India. I fail to understand why they don't introduce them here, maybe on back of their mind they might be thinking about the market swing and their product sales will not be that much- As a matter of fact how many of us (Bikers in India) own a premium scooter such as an Aerox of Aprilia.

Looks like Dio only. And Dio has 2 variants - 110cc and 125 cc.
Hardly any difference b/w NX125 and Dio 125.

Looks more like the Grazia. I don't understand what's there to patent? Literally 90% similar to Grazia or Dio. Just call it a facelift and move on.
