Bajaj has launched the Chetak Blue 3202 at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore).

The new Chetak Blue 3202 is essentially the Urbane variant, which has been renamed. It has the same battery capacity but with newer cells that improve the overall range from 126 km to 137 km. The e-scooter comes with a 650 W charger that can replenish the battery in 5 hours and 50 minutes.

The Chetak Blue 3202 looks similar to the standard version. The feature list is also identical to the Urbane variant. It is equipped with an LCD instrument console and keyless ignition. The optional TecPac adds Bluetooth, hill hold and reverse, a sports mode, and unlocks a higher top speed of 73 km/h.

The Chetak Blue 3202 is available in four colours: Blue, White, Black, and Grey.

The Bajaj Chetak, has a huge notional and emotional brand value. However, the new college going generation will not be able to relate to the euphoria it had created, back then in early 90s'.

Bajaj should now look to engage with this Gen Z+ new college goers with tangy product names and simple updates with same brand name, IMHO, may not be much appealing to this generation.

This generation of Bajaj Chetak is neither here (retro looking) nor there (futuristic looking). Considering the options in the market especially in the EV space Bajaj needs to do more to engage the young brigade. Riding on past success is one thing but creating a differentiator product is altogether another thing. I hope a big company like Bajaj contributes more to the EV space befitting the brand and benefitting the end customer.

A classic retro look and EV. It is only for people who are nostalgia about the brand or its design otherwise competitors are having better looking modern designs.
