Bluarmor C50 Pro Bluetooth intercom launched at Rs 25,000

Bluarmor has launched a new Bluetooth intercom system for helmets. The new C50 Pro is priced at Rs 24,999. Customers can book their units now via the company’s official website. Deliveries will start on September 28.

The Bluarmor C50 Pro is said to be based on a next-generation platform. Compared to the C30, the new C50 Pro has a less bulky design, while offering more features. The company claims a battery of 16 hours.

The C50 Pro comes with Bluarmor’s MagDock system for mounting it on the helmet. It sits at the back of the helmet, ensuring the aerodynamics are not disturbed. A new T-Stick wireless controller comes as standard.

The C50 Pro uses RIDEGRIDTM 2.0 and BluTM Signature Hardware for true HD voice clarity. It supports music sharing over the mesh and gets a 2-level noise-suppression engine. The device can be connected to 2W clusters, action cameras, GPS devices and devices that support universal intercom.

The C50 Pro features LED lights that use an IMU-based deceleration-detection engine to detect if the rider is slowing down and illuminate a brake light pattern. Riders can also enable a hazard light pattern.

Another crucial safety feature is IMU-based crash detection, which sends an SOS alert to the rider’s emergency contact in case of an accident.

Seems quite futuristic. But I and my riding buddies have decided to stick with out C30 systems. Tried and tested. Works for us and tested in torrential rains as well. And we are enjoying the sound by JBL too which is missing here.

Overall sound quality is much crisper and the sound when listening to music is way better than the C30.

Re: Bluarmor C50 Pro Bluetooth intercom launched at Rs 25,000

I hope it solves the following issues (mostly at speeds > 90 kmph) which ailed the previous generation device (C30):
1. Too much wind noise picked up on the microphone
2. Patchy audio in the mesh
3. Unintuitive and non-ergonomic design of buttons
4. Extra buffeting on helmet due to non-aerodynamic front profile

That said, a lot of folks went for the C30 because of the claimed value proposition. Having burnt our fingers in the process, I would be extremely vary of spending a premium amount of 25K on this.

Hey BlueArmor, how about an exchange offer for your existing guinea pigs ?

Looks good, but Bluearmor was not worth the price at 10k itself, so I don't see who will pay 25k for a sleeker version of it now

You can exchange your C30 for a C50 Pro for 11K. To do this, add the C50 to your cart and the discount code will be automatically applied, reducing the price to 11K.

Nice offering.
But I'd rather defer to real-world reviews from riders vs. influencers to know how well this works or if there are any potential shortcomings.

I second you on this.

I was interested in it earlier because of the JBL speakers, but the overall experience was disappointing.

I instead picked up the Cardo Freecom 2X for a few thousand less than what the C50 costs now, and it's incredible! The Audio quality is crisp (larger JBL speakers), and I've had at least a couple of people on the phone ask me if I was "at home" because they couldn't hear any wind or traffic noise (the ADV tall visor also helps here).

It is better for prospects to wait for BluArmor to iron out the niggles with the C50 and hear reviews before buying one.

Re: Bluarmor C50 Pro Bluetooth intercom launched at Rs 25,000

I'm just providing my perspective. I used the Trailblazer offer and got a C50 Pro for 11k via a friend. At 11k, I feel the features outweigh the potential issues for trying this out.

Back story: PK, the owner, and I connected when they launched the cooling device. I have been following their products and have seen them grow from where they were. He works very closely with users, understands the requirements for his products, and is very humble to hear us out.

This product attracted me more than any of the previous products.

I shared this thread with PK, who is trying to join the forum to address some of the questions here. But as we discussed, he explained that this version addresses most of the questions above.

While it may be horses for courses, my riding friends all carry the C30 and it only made sense to get something to communicate better. Currently, we simply call via mobile and stay connected in rides via conference calls due to my Nexx comm system and its compatibility with C30, etc.

I will provide a detailed review once I install the unit and take it for a few rides but with the specification and support this team provides, I do not think it is a risk but a good attempt to try something made locally.

Wishing PK and his team a grand success and hope to see their next iteration as an integrated device in maybe RE or other brands Helmets.

Re: Bluarmor C50 Pro Bluetooth intercom launched at Rs 25,000

They are starting the first set of shipping shortly. The device will come with beta software and many of the features announced will be available in November with no specific dates mentioned.

My guess is they launched it slightly earlier than they are ready to deliver. But today most cars are launched that way and we have accepted that.

Re: Bluarmor C50 Pro Bluetooth intercom launched at Rs 25,000

Having used C30 for Sunday rides, I didn’t like few things like ergonomics, audio quality above 90-100 kmph, looks. While on the move, it takes quite a time to understand and use the buttons. I found the Jbl speakers good enough for the price.

It was my first such device and I bought it just because it was from Indian manufacture. It looks like BluArmour is really serious and trying hard to establish themselves and really appreciate their offer for exchange of C30.

Looking forward to buy C50, if they really have made progress on the flaws of C30.

Re: Bluarmor C50 Pro Bluetooth intercom launched at Rs 25,000

Another Update today:-

Shipping has started but there is a clear indication that it is getting pushed to the middle of November for some.

Reason - Early shipment feedback has some assembling-related QC that is getting fixed and hoping to improve the consistency of quality of every product delivered.

The following capabilities are not available till the next firmware.

- C30 compatibility
- eRIDEGRID (Cloud Intercom)
- Group Music Sharing

Re: Bluarmor C50 Pro Bluetooth intercom launched at Rs 25,000

Update

Bluarmor sent an email to let the trailblazer users keep the C30 instead of exchange. This is a good thing considering the cost of C50 for these users is 11K.

There is a 3 week delay in delivery but the communication has been consistent and responsive keeping the early adopters updated.
