Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has announced the launch of the updated Jawa 42. The 2024 edition is priced at Rs 1,72,942 (ex-showroom, Delhi).



The 2024 Jawa 42 comes with several updates. The 294cc, liquid-cooled engine is said to be more refined than before. It delivers 27 BHP and 27 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The Jawa 42 gets gear-based throttle mapping and an assist and slip clutch. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears are now optimized for enhanced drivability and smoother shifts, while a redesigned balancer weight and new hub-type balancer gear are said to have reduced vibrations. Other improvements include a heavier magneto, a larger throttle body and entry duct, and a CP4 cylinder head.



The 2024 Jawa 42 gets a retuned suspension with improved ground clearance. It comes with a new seat, a digital instrument console and an optional USB charger.

The Jawa 42 is available in 6 new colour options: Vega White, Voyager Red, Asteroid Grey, Odyssey Black, Nebula Blue, and Celestial Copper Matte.

While the price of entry variants is aggressive, dual channel ABS had to be dumped, but IMHO the alloys should have been standard. Many potential Hunter 350 customers sitting on the fence can now try hopping onto the Jawa's.
