Glad to hear that you enjoy the bike, apart from the suspension setup issues you faced earlier. As a 60kg rider myself, I test rode the bike and found the suspension to be great! It ate all the bumps and pot holes with ease. Let's see if it finds a way into my car garage!

Re: My Triumph Speed 400 | The problems that reviewers brush aside

Hi All

I just wanted to get a personal experience of a current owner if they've faced this issue on their T400s, if so please share.

I've come across a couple of forum posts on FB groups of the cams becoming flat cams, apparently because of the dodgy quality of the camshaft the bumps for valves get shorn away within the first 4-7000kms resulting in complete engine failure!

Now overseas Triumph has offered a complete engine replacement but even there they are dragging their feet.

All this starts with what we in India are very familiar with which is the noise tappet/valve issue, I've read about all kinds of bikes having this issue: FZ25, Guerrilla, RE 650Twins and now 650Quads, UCE and J Series classic etc.

This sounds pretty unfortunate if you've just spent 2.5 lakhs on this bike I'm pretty sure.

Has anybody faced this?
