Re: Ather Rizta Review

Overall seems a nice product with lots of desirable features. I do find the look a bit boring but that is a personal preference. I think Ather are onto a winner here especially given the pricing. I am not sure if the subsidies are still there or not but the major reason for not buying an Ather for me was the price. These seem much more reasonably priced.
I have a TVS iQube and a Bajaj Chetak electric scooter, each with their own merits and faults but I haven't regretted buying either of them. I think this would be a great fit for seniors who want an electric scooter. The youngsters will probably stick with the Ather 450!

Re: Ather Rizta Review

The review and info about Rizta was awesome. Thanks to everyone who added these.

One question I had regarding these scooters with headlamps in the middle section (and not in the top handle bar section), whether during turning at night in dark areas, any users faced issues?

I think seeing some bikes or scooters as offering cornering lights (not sure which one though), but pretty sure many don't. Any feedback from daily users in this aspect?

Re: Ather Rizta Review

Thank you for the wonderful review bblost! The Athers that came out so far were too small, now this one is speaking business.

1. Does it offer centre stand as an accessory? There is no such mention on their webpage either. Could you please pass this on to the team at Ather. I have to park my two wheeler at the metro station parking lot and movie theatre parking lot. The parking attendant insists on leaving the two wheeler on centre stand to save space.

2. Can the key be taken out after switching off the ignition and the side lock left unlocked? Being a new age EV, I'm curious if they have considered these scenarios in India when a watchman has to move around the set of vehicles within the parking lot.

They have a dedicated webpage for this

It looks kind of ok, but I don't think I would ever install this unless absolutely needed.
The under seat space in the Rizta is more than adequate.

Given the absolutely scary state of our roads, I would never recommend using these bikes during late hours.

I ride a Himalayan, which has a fixed headlight. You eventually get used to this style.

I don't think such an option is possible but would leave to others to answer this.

I removed the key without locking the bike when I took the picture of the key. So I think you can definitely leave it unlocked.
With the smart features that sends warnings on the bike being moved, you can actually relax as well.

Ok, that's a glorified bag then! I thought the "frunk" was a lockable box like you see on Activas & Jupiters. Safe to give this a pass then. Or as the God of Mischief would describe :

Re: Ather Rizta Review

Is there any news on when Rizta delivery would commence? Also, how one compares it with Bajaj Chetak & TVS iQube? This new segment of 'Family Electric Scooter' screams for a separate comparison thread.

Re: Ather Rizta Review

I spoke to Ather customer service team today and they said the test drive vehicles will be made available from 30th June and deliveries will begin from July last week. This is for Hyderabad. Not sure about other states. Hope this helps.

Re: Ather Rizta Review

I had shown interest in the Rizta and the dealership folks have been following up ever since.
The last update was that the bike had reached the dealership and that test drives were available.
I haven't been able to go and physically verify this yet.

Re: Ather Rizta Review

Test rode the Rizta z 2.9kWh model last week at the dealership here in Delhi.

The test ride vehicle was bare bones with no pro pack features (skid control, magic twist, ride modes etc ) enabled. Overall, not impressed by the vehicle.

I pre-booked a 3.7kWh model which as per the showroom will take at least 2-3 months more for the delivery.

Whats the OTR price for the 3.7kwh model?
Also, I'm guessing that by the time the vehicle is delivered, the price would increase - do check with the dealer about this. Get him to promise you a steady price.

Hey, can you elaborate a bit on what you didn't like during the test drive?
The pro pack features don't really add anything substantial to the vehicle.

How was the acceleration? How was it to drive?

OTR Delhi without State subsidy with pro pack, it's around 1.57 Lacs.

I am considering Rizta over a TVS IQube majorly because of the features available in the Pro pack, most importantly skid control and magic twist along with full Google maps, emergency brake light blinking etc. It is important to feel the scooter with all these features before putting down the payment.

Ather Rizta e-scooter deliveries commence in India

Ather Energy has commenced deliveries of the Rizta in India. CEO Tarun Mehta recently announced this on social media.

Re: Ather Rizta Review

I have taken delivery of my second EV - Ather Rizta last week in Pune. The other EV being Nexon Prime. Lets see how Rizta goes, initial impressions are good and very much impressed with the following:
1. Magic twist - this is a manual regen which can be used to brake, its very effective and can be pulsated to.
2. Hill hold is amazing and have never experienced such feature in a two wheeler.
3. Skid control if a boon to basement parking where the ramps are bit slipper especially in monsoon.
4. Under seat storage is massive.
5. Seats are huge and easily sit two 6 feet tall adults plus some space in between for stuff, small kid.

Only issue so far is the standby mode battery drain on all Ather vehicles of 2 to 3% daily even when the vehicle is not used at all. This is unnecessary waste of electricity in my view. It can be prevented by doing a shutdown of the vehicle, but is recommended by Ather only if the vehicle is not going to be used for more than 5 days.
I also miss the main stand, don't understand why they have skipped this basic functionality.
