Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has launched a new variant of the Jawa 42 Bobber called the Red Sheen. It is priced at Rs 2,29,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).



The Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen gets a few cosmetic changes over the standard bike. It features a chrome fuel tank with red stripes and diamond-cut alloy wheels.



Powering the Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen is a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 29.5 BHP and 30 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via an assist and slip clutch.



The bike is equipped with a telescopic front fork and a 7-step pre-load adjustable rear mono-shock. It also gets a 2-step adjustable seat, a USB charging port, a digital instrument console and LED lighting.

The pricing for the Jawa Perak and Jawa 42 Bobber variants (ex-showroom Delhi) is as follows:

• Jawa 42 Bobber – Mystic Copper Spoke Wheel: Rs 2,12,500
• Jawa 42 Bobber – Mystic Copper Alloy Wheel: Rs 2,18,900

I am surprised that people are buying jawa till now. Don't you guys think that jawa should launch a bike with a good and powerful engine. Which might boost a little bit of their sales.

I beg to differ. I own a 2021 Jawa 42 v2.0. Offers 27 bhp. It's a great engine with good low end torque. It does heat up, but i've learnt to live with it.
IMHO, it offers a better riding experience than the Classic 350 and the CB350 twins and even newer retro classics like the Hunter or the Ronin. I found it value for money and don't regret my choice. Yes Ground clearance is a bit of a problem with a pillion, but then I don't ride the bike with a pillion. With the Suspension setup at 1, the ground clearance has become a non-issue, unless I hit really bad roads.

I also find the Jawa Bobber one of the coolest looking bikes on the market. It rides well too. But, you cannot buy that bike with practicality in mind.
