The Xoom 125R and Xoom 160 broke cover at EICMA 2023. The former is powered by a 124.6cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 9.37 BHP and 10.14 Nm.

Good to hear that the Zoom 160 is coming. India has a big, untapped market for maxi-scooters. More competition is always good for the customer. At present, I believe we have only the Aerox 155 & Aprilia posting any semblance of success. The Kinetic Blaze was the OG Big Daddy if I am not mistaken, but that was another time and age.

Good to have options in the market in the maxi scooter space and kudos to Hero for following up with 160cc maxi scooter.

I have Aerox and dream of Honda Forza 350 coming to our shores someday (I know it isn't gonna happen). Once I realized the versatility of maxi scooters I find myself choosing Aerox over CBR650 for highway trips. The luggage space, the ease of the automatic, lesser maintenance headaches etc. etc.

Now I just wish, someone brings or starts manufacturing 250-400cc scooters in the Indian market

Good to see Hero introducing good designs and models. The recent Xtreme 125R with ABS a great bike in the segment, as is the 160R.

But have they developed a new 100 liquid cooed engine? Or will the production version get the same 160cc unit from the xtreme?
If they have developed an LC engine, we could even see the next version of xtreme 160r with the same with about 18-19 PS power.

Maxi scooters are gaining traction in India now. We might see bigger models soon.
I remember being awestruck by the Aprilia SRV850 scooter which was available in India for a while. But that & Even the BMW C400 although currently available, are too expensive.

It's good to hear that this is launching soon. Can't wait to see it and try it out. I've given the aerox a miss owing to feedback on the suspension and the unattractive price including the hikes making it too premium. Owing to this also is the lackluster attitude of the dealerships which don't have test ride vehicles

Hopefully this is not the case with Hero.

Good to see Hero bring in the Xoom 160.

Wish other manufacturer's launch similar models.
Would be great to see Aprilia SR GT (125/200), Honda ADV 160 or even Yamaha NMax in India.
