The Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 is available in three variants: Airstrike, Laser and Shadow. The first 1,000 customers can avail of the introductory pricing. The F77 Mach 2 Recon has been priced at Rs 3.99 lakh.

The F77 Mach 2 uses a 10.3 kWh battery pack to power an electric motor with a peak output of 40.2 BHP and 100 Nm. The bike claims to accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 155 km/h, making it India’s fastest electric motorcycle. It has a maximum IDC range of 323 km.

The F77 Mach 2 comes with a 3-level traction control system and 10 levels of Regenerative Braking. The bike also gets safety features like Dynamic Stability Control, Hill Hold and ABS. ‘Delta Watch’ is another security feature that can alert riders if someone tries to encroach on their bike.

Ultraviolette has introduced two new optional packages for the F77 Mach 2. The Performance Pack includes features such as 10-level Regenerative Braking with Dynamic Regen and advanced 4-level Traction Control. It will be available as standard for the first 1,000 customers.

Violette A.I. includes features like Movement, Fall and Towing Alerts, Remote Lockdown, Crash Alert, Daily Ride Stats, and an Anti-Collision Warning System.

Re: Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 launched at Rs 2.99 lakh

I had taken a test ride more than a year ago when they were at the place I work. Seating position was too aggressive for me. With the torque etc it didnt seem much forward heavy though.

Not sure how many people will like driving this daily. They need to re-design this for a comfortable seating position. TVS should absorb the whole company and guide with product requirements.

Why isn't this the 'quickest' 2 wheeler yet in India? Maybe a sub 4 second 0-100kmph. The Aprilia RS 457 does it sub 5 seconds i believe (need to recheck comparo video). They need some kind of USP that would not be challenged any time soon to gain some market share. Quickness to match the looks.

The Mach 2 Recon does 2.8 seconds to 60, 7.7 seconds to 100.

That's way off the mark for being the fastest 2 wheeler made in India, if 0-100 the only consideration.

I hope they fixed fast charging on this one. The earlier one was impractical for any spirited rides longer than 200km (round trip) since it took too long to fast charge. I didn't find anything in the press material though.

They did showcase the Ultraviolette F99 concept at EICMA 2023 with a 90kW motor (or 122PS, i.e. similar to the Kawasaki ZX-6R) with a top speed of 265 and a 3 second 0-100. That will well and truly be the fastest bike made in India by a country mile.

I have signed up for the test ride but this aggressive posture is keeping me away from booking one. Not sure why they do not have a standard or atleast a sports-tourer variant. They will sell many more.

The bike is already around 4 lakhs. Making it any faster will push the price and the weight.

Because a heavy electric bike with 40hp is not going to be anywhere near as fast as the average 300-400cc petrol bikes with 44hp.

It's simple physics. Electric bikes are still a meme as far as power to weight ratio is concerned. There needs to be significant advances in either battery or motor technology before they will be outpacing similar priced petrol sports bikes.

How do you wheelie on this thing since there is no concept of gear shifts in it ?

"Quickness" of a bike, or the 0-100 times, are more of a function of torque than outright power. It does play a part no doubt, but those figure depend more on the torque on tap.

Basis this, it is quite safe to say that even with present battery and motor tech, despite the weight penalty of an EV 2 wheeler vs an ICE counterpart, the former can easily outpace the latter, basis firstly, the higher torque available, as well as the fact that the torque is available right from start.

Re: Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 launched at Rs 2.99 lakh

Saw this thing at a local mall last month. Was pretty disappointed in the overall size of the bike. Looked a bit too small for my height which I admit is a tough ask

The overall plastic bodywork felt like it was made out of much cheaper plastic. Or maybe its the quality of the paint. The bike never popped like the images from launch day.

Was looking forward to owning one but it looks to be as big as a 125cc commuter from the rear and for the price it felt cheap.

I think the huge bodywork in the front and the narrow tail section doesn't really flow together.

Re: Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 launched at Rs 2.99 lakh

Booked the F77 Mach 2 Recon in Cosmic Black. I found it a compelling overall package, with the drawbacks ok to live with.

Should get delivery in 7-10 days. Planning to pen down a write up once I've properly put it through its paces

My most recent ride was a Himalayan 411, and I've usually ridden ADVs or cruisers, with one lone Ninja 300 in the distant past.

Certainly a little more aggressive than I am used to, but over the 3 test rides I took, of increasing duration, I got comfortable quite quickly. A tip that helped was to hold the tank more firmly with my thighs, this helped spread my weight more evenly, and avoid strain on my wrists.

Hope this helps!
