The Kratos R use a 4.0 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that powers an 'Axial Flux' motor that produces 12 BHP and 38 Nm. The bike can cover 180 km on a single charge (IDC range) and has a top speed of 105 km/h.

The Kratos R is equipped with a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charger, and Active Throttle Control, and gets five riding modes: Eco, Eco+, City, Sports and Reverse.

Recently, electric 2-wheeler makers have been offering heavy discounts on their products as the FAME-II subsidy scheme is set to expire this month. Ather Energy and Ola Electric have also announced similar discounts on their electric scooters.

re: Tork Kratos R electric bike available with a discount of Rs 37,500

What is the reason for such hefty discounts? Is it because FAME II subsidy is about to end or there is a drop in cost of EV batteries? Or the Manufacturers are clearing the stock and moving to a different kind of battery?

This is still priced about 20k more than the Ola S1 Pro that has identical Battery size but a 20% more powerful motor.

It's not a fire sale by any stretch of the imagination.

The specs of this motorcycle are close to the Yamaha FZ but the price is at least 40k more on road. Not exactly the best deal in the world.

Still, some price rationalisation is good. This is exactly what the FAME subsidies were supposed to help achieve. They are doing their job.
