Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 homologated in India ahead of launch

Husqvarna is gearing up to launch the 2024 Svartpilen 250 in the Indian market. Technical details of the bike have now been revealed courtesy of its Type Approval certificate.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 shares its underpinnings with the KTM 250 Duke. The bike measures 2,071 mm in length, 1,042 mm in height, 807 mm in width and has a wheelbase of 1,368 mm. Its gross weight is 315 kg.

As per the document, the Svartpilen 250 uses a 249.07cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 30.5 BHP @ 9,250 rpm. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox via an assist and slipper clutch.

The updated Svartpilen 250 is expected to get a 5-inch digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging port, traction control and dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode.

Are they actually 315kg in weight? Sounds too much for a 250 cc class bike. I thought these were fun to ride light weight futuristic looking KTMs!

I think that is gross weight which includes the weight of the rider and passenger. These bikes weigh around 160kgs.
