Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming Xtreme 125R has leaked online ahead of its official debut. The bike is expected to be unveiled at the Hero World 2024 event.



The Hero Xtreme 125R features a sporty design with an aggressive-looking LED headlamp, a muscular fuel tank and tank extensions sporting the ‘125R’ graphic. The bike has a narrow tail section with a 2-piece seat.

Coming to the mechanical bits, the Xtreme 125R gets a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It rides on alloy wheels and is equipped with a front disc brake.



The Xtreme 125R will be powered by a new 125cc, single-cylinder engine, details of which are still under wraps. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The Xtreme 125R will be showcased alongside the Mavrick 440. It will compete with the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 and TVS Raider 125.

Design looks good, has better size than Raider and looks far more proportionate than NS125. Hope Hero has reworked that Glamour engine, because both NS & Raider pack good punch with their 4 valve & 3 valve engines.

Unlike the Maverick's design, at least Hero seems to have tried something different with the Xtreme 125R. At this price point, I think this should be a success for Hero MotoCorp. For me personally only a test ride will tell. Among the 125cc lot, I really like the TVS Raider and will probably judge the Xtreme 125r against that.

Raider is good, but it's very small. A rider with 5'7" or more height looks totally out of place on Raider. NS125 has size, but it's thin tyres and front suspension are an eyesore. So far, Xtreme 125R is the only sporty 125cc bike which has got the proportions right.
