As per most international users the one that comes with the bike seems to have vibrations, also the thickness of the rod is small for most mounts.

Agreed, bro. I should have checked the ex-showroom prices. The thing that confused me was the on-road prices quoted by the dealers during my recent visit to the showrooms. Honda quoted around 7.20L and Kawasaki quoted 7L (without the 10k discount). I'm puzzled how 70k difference has narrowed down so much. I think the dealer is inflating the insurance cost.

I'm tired of waiting for the NX and am contemplating booking the Ninja 500.

No updates whatsoever. Bought a triumph scrambler 400 last month. Got delivery in 10d. Sent a note to BigWing to cancel booking but haven’t heard back yet. Need to follow up.

Quick ride update:

Did a breakfast ride with few friends couple of days ago & quite happy to say that this bike is FUN !!!

We rode to a nearby food joint (approx. 60kms from my place) ride was entirely on national highway but monsoons made it look like proper off road section in few patches ! Bike is surprisingly easy to ride in almost all situations & i could easily cope up with bigger bikes in group (Tiger 900 RPs), 100-120kmph is sweet spot with almost no vibes, just a little buzz on handlebar grips but nothing annoying. Noticeable vibes creep in at speeds above 120 kmph especially at seat though. Wind protection is decent with stock windscreen.

Total ride distance was ~120 kms & avg. consumption shown by MID was an impressive 28.1 kmpl, i feel this bike can easily deliver 30kmpl + over longer distances with sane speeds which will be absolutely fantastic for touring.

All in all a really nice bike if you look beyond the price.

Hi, Could you please share your experience regarding the pillion rider comfort of the bike? Also, how was the service experience so far if you have done any service yet. What was the service cost and at what intervals in future?

Haven’t done any ride with pillion yet so can’t comment on it right now but will update information in few days. First service is done and experience was ok ok, no complaints as such, first service cost was ~6k, next service is at 12k kms or 1 year as conveyed by service team.

Nice. NX500 seems to bring the best of both worlds esp. for riders like me (with slight less heavy build ) - middleweight adv with decent power and mileage and at the same time light enough to manage it easily in traffic and in parking.

I, too, almost bought the NX500 but right at the last moment got pulled by the lure of the i4 CBR650. Cancelled the booking but given a choice (read - spare moolah) I would buy it as second bike for my garage.

Checked with the showroom in Hyderabad this weekend. They informed that they may deliver 4 bikes this month and the remaining deliveries may happen in Jan 2025.

Just got a call from Bigwing Marathahalli saying bike will be delivered this month end. Unfortunately I already bought a triumph so will be canceling. In fact had told them over a month ago about canceling but they never acknowledged.

Any reason you did not consider the BMW 310 GS? I am in a similar dilemma as yours.
Did you end up deciding?

NX 500 a bit over priced. In Bangalore with accessories it would cost north of 8 Lakhs.
Himalayan 450 - Not very refined and might not be a good commuter.
Duke 390 ADV - Hated the suspension set up. Waiting for the new one. not sure when would it be released.
BMW 310 GS - Does this makes sense in 2024 given lower power and higher maintenance cost is the question.
Triumph speed/400X - too small for my liking.
