re: Bajaj working on a 110cc CNG-powered motorcycle. EDIT: Freedom 125 launched at Rs. 95,000

Bajaj should expect copyright strike from LML who had a LML Freedom Prima 125 in their lineup.

If it gets the mileage part right, would rule tier 2 and tier 3 cities. This, considering the fact, that an Activa costs a lakh INR easily.

With a name like that, shouldn't Bajaj have seriously considered launching it on 15th August? 😬

re: Bajaj working on a 110cc CNG-powered motorcycle. EDIT: Freedom 125 launched at Rs. 95,000

The seat is designed to carry 4 passengers easily, could be hit with bike taxi segment.

Yes. The seat is long, but 4 people on a motorcycle? Is it not against the law? I know what you mean though. Unofficially people might still use it like a taxi especially in the semi-urban areas but those are the places where even the people not wearing helmet ride their motorcycles even in the opposite direction with 3 or 4 pillions behind. Is Bajaj really going to promote such a dangerous quasi-segment?

Perfect pricing! The 125cc CNG bike is priced around one lakh rupees. It seems like Bajaj has a winner on their hands with this one.

re: Bajaj working on a 110cc CNG-powered motorcycle. EDIT: Freedom 125 launched at Rs. 95,000

This is squarely aimed at the Bike Taxi and online Delivery market.

But, i think it will be a hit wherever CNG is readily available especially in Cities.

They have done a very good job in make it look like a normal bike instead of some weird styling. Except the loooong seat, everything looks normal. This will remove the mental barrier for customers in adopting it.

Only negative will be that the long queues at CNG stations are going to become even longer.

re: Bajaj working on a 110cc CNG-powered motorcycle. EDIT: Freedom 125 launched at Rs. 95,000

This will be a HIT!!!
Expect to see a lot of customers lining up in rural settings, commuters in the city and also Swiggy/Zomato and other delivery guys just for the frugality.

NO other company currently offers this fuel mix, so, even if someone has to start developing one would take 2-3 years minimum. SMART MOVE BAJAJ!

I'm not sure this is killer pricing for such a novel product. I personally wouldn't touch this for the next 5 years, I'd wait and watch for real world opinions before branding this one a reliable product.

Ola S1 starts at 75k ex showroom, which may be a much more economical option.

Delivery drivers are found aplenty only in the metros. Bajaj cannot depend only on them for sales.

We have no idea yet how fuel efficient this is. Not do we have an idea about service costs and reliability - when compared to a normal petrol 125cc.

Re: Bajaj working on a 110cc CNG-powered motorcycle. EDIT: Freedom 125 launched at Rs. 95,000

I am a FAN of this bike. Perfectly sums up Indian engineering nowadays!
I believe this is a much sustainable product than an EV competitor because this bike can run frugally for 15 years straight while the similar EVs of today will have an expected 5-7 year lifespan tops, if run everyday.

Bajaj should have the early mover advantage since there is zero competition. Also for the export market it should do well.
