Royal Enfield has launched its bike rental program. The company has collaborated with more than 40 motorcycle rental operators to offer its rental bikes in 26 cities across India.



Royal Enfield Rental has partnered with Rental Wheel, Ghumo Bike, Ghoomakad Bike, Wild Adventure and Balaji Tours; among others. Riders will have access to over 300 Royal Enfield motorcycles at Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Leh, Manali, Haridwar, Rishikesh and other destinations in India.

Riders can rent a Royal Enfield bike by visiting the Royal Enfield Rental website. Users can select the destination and can then choose from a list of motorcycles that can be filtered based on the model, age, rental price and distance travelled.

Royal Enfield has also partnered with independent mechanics and custom builders to support its clients.

Wild . This is just awesome for a hobby motorcycle enthusiast like me, or when you're holidaying in another city.

Motorcycle rentals is a very messy business with high levels of risk. For service providers (abuse, accidents & theft are rampant) as well as customers. Am hopeful that a big brand like Royal Enfield will maintain checks & balances for quality.

It's expensive and the pricing is on par with car rentals. But that's how good motorcycle rentals have always been, due to the risk factor and lack of competition.

This is indeed awesome news. Doing a big road trip with a Bullet is pretty much as common a wish among motorheads as the ubiquitous as a drawing of a house with a snaky road leading right up to it, with the backdrop being two mountain peaks with a rising sun between them is, for kindergarten kids!
That said, the other side of Bullets have always been their lack of practicality for short trips, difficulty in parking in (and subsequently getting out of) tiny parking pockets, and with an overall reliability that's absolutely nothing to be proud of, leading to many to decide not to own these beasts. Having the ability to rent one of these machines just for a road trip sounds like a great idea, as long as the maintenance is on point, as GTO points out. While it may seem a tad pricey, I think it's worth every paisa, if the reliability is ensured. One of the worst things that can happen on a road trip is for the trip to be ruined because the unknown rented bike gave up the ghost in the middle of nowhere. If that's not a problem, this is an amazing proposition, a real case of everybody winning.

I wish Royal Enfield handled the rentals directly or gave some amount of refund in case of issues that arise during rentals. RE is simply acting as a middle man here. In case you get stranded somewhere, you are on your own. So what exactly is the advantage of paying such a high amount as rental fee?

This is indeed good news. While I understand RE is simply an aggregator here, I still feel a bit more confident about doing this knowing they have a dog in this fight.

If there is a reliable, bike rental service, I'd definitely do more weekend trips on bikes and life would be a whole lot more fun sans the hassle of ownership and maintenance.
Definitely giving this a try.

Encouraging for enthusiasts, but there's no finance agency in the list of partners to finance riders, as the charges are too steep.

Hope RE will add ABC Bank Ltd or XYZ Finance Ltd (Non Banking Finance Corporation's (NBFC)) or else float a new NBFC arm themselves to finance rental riders.

I tried to find if they gave protective gear as an add on with the Bike rental. Helmet should be the minimum and I am hoping they must be providing that.

Prices are comparable to other providers like Royal Brothers.



One thing I noticed though is that the permit only allows for local state travel. Not sure if this is a mistake on the website.


Also, they haven't specified how if there is a restriction on the number of kilometers allowed. Royal Brothers limits the distance one can cover based on the booking duration. I hope RE allows unlimited kms.

Can people suggest good bike rental companies in Bangalore? Looking for Honda CB350 or Triumph 400 for rental in Bangalore, preferably south Bangalore. Couldn't find any threads on bike rentals

Royal Brothers have both of these bikes available. I don't have any experience with their Bangalore branch though. I've used their services in Bhubaneswar and I'd rate that 10/10.

I've used the services of twisthrottle.in BTM Layout umpteen number of times and I'm still going back to them.

I see that they are offering both the vehicles of your choice.

What is the speed limit with these guys? And how do they treat if we exceed?
