2023 Jawa 42 Bobber teased ahead of launch

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has shared a teaser of the upcoming Jawa 42 Bobber. The 2023 edition of the bike is expected to be launched soon.

The teaser showcases the rear section of the 2023 Jawa 42 Bobber. It has a familiar design featuring a single seat and side panels with the "Bobber 42" script.

The 2023 edition will be offered with multi-spoke alloy wheels, while the dual exhausts and the circular tail lamp remain unchanged.

The current Jawa 42 Bobber is powered by a 334cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 30.22 BHP and 32.64 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The same engine and gearbox combination is likely to power the 2023 model.

The brake setup will consist of disc brakes at both ends supported by dual-channel ABS.

Such a good looking bike, draws eyeballs on the road. It is a pity that Jawa sells such low numbers, hope they improve their quality levels and throw a good fight to the RE stable.

P.S. Bobber riders don't like girl friends?

The 42 and its iterations are in every way better than the Enfield 350 engine. Only if the manufacturer provided proper after sales and spare support.

My 42 2.1 2021 model is quietly chugging along however there is little to no support for OTC spares sale. Want a clutch cable, brake pad or the fuel hose? No can do. Have to open a job card and get it done at the service station.

Fork seal, gaskets and O rings stock? On backorder since eternity.

Saw one on display in Lulu mall, Kochi. Its a fantastic looking bike. Much better than the Perak. Not sure of the numbers, but seems to have a larger proportion. The Quality too seems better that its sibligs.

Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror launched at Rs 2.25 lakh

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has introduced a new variant of the 42 Bobber. It is called the 'Black Mirror' and costs Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror gets several changes over the standard bike. It comes with a chrome fuel tank that adds contrast to the all-black design. The spoked wheels have also been replaced with diamond-cut alloy wheels & shod with tubeless tyres.

In terms of features, the 42 Bobber comes with a circular digital instrument console, LED lighting and a charging port. The bike also gets bar-end mirrors and an adjustable seat.

The Jawa 42 Bobber is powered by a 334cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which now gets larger throttle bodies and an updated fuel map. These modifications result in an output of 29 BHP and 32.5 Nm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox via an assist and slipper clutch.

What a stunner...Just looks so good!!!! I know there are service and quality issues with Jawa as reported on the forum, but just from a design/visual perspective... they hit it out of the park.

I have set my eyes on Jawa and have been waiting for more than 6 months to see any improvements to the after sales support. I do see some traction w.r.t number of online reviews but visit to service center doesn't give the confidence yet. Few more months, else back to good old RE.
