Triumph Tiger 1200's seat height can now be lowered on the move; New feature introduced

The Triumph Tiger 1200 ADV motorcycle has been updated internationally with a new feature called "Active Preload Reduction". The new feature now allows riders to reduce the seat height of their Tiger 1200 by up to 20 mm while on the move at low speeds.

While the bike already features a semi-active electronically controlled mono-shock, the new feature addition lowers the preload setting of the shocks either at low speeds or at a standstill. This makes it easier for bikers to get on and off the motorcycle. The reduced seat height also lowers the centre of gravity of the ADV, resulting in better balance and manoeuvrability.

Triumph states that the exact amount the seat lowers depends on a number of factors, including the weight of the rider, pillion and luggage on board, however, the max amount is 20 mm. The feature is available across both the GT and Rally line-ups of the Tiger 1200.
