Re: You can now buy an Ola S1 Pro for Rs 1.25 lakh

This is now OLA directly targeting the 125cc category of the Ntorq/Avenis/Access.
With the S1 Air coming in soon at a price point which fairly undercuts even 110cc prices, I guess its only sunset here for petrol scooters.

Already all the ICE scooters including the King (Activa) are showing a constant drop in monthly numbers, Can only imagine what would happen as more and more EV players continue to launch their products.

Its really good to see home grown brands doing great in the 2W EV space, The Top 3 (Ola, TVS, and Ather) slots are occupied firmly by them.

Really? Activa's YOY sales went flat only in the month of Sep 2022 after which their YOY was negative 9.2 in Jan, except for this, in all the remaining 5 months, their YOY sales were 7.1%, 8.1%, 41.1%, 29.7% & 20.1% indicating a healthy sales figure.

Let me know if I'm overlooking anything pls. Tks

The problem with OLA is the initial backlash they faced due to their incomplete QCs and their CEOs response to the same ruined it further. Even though it is a competent product after they have addressed the issues of suspension ,catching fire etc. I still hesitate to consider OLA scooters as one of the options. Looks like "First impression is the best impression" is true after all.
