re: Hero Karizma to return in 2023 with a 210cc engine. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.73 lakhs

So there's a reveal date, and there's a brand ambassador.

I'm glad they'll be riding on nostalgia, as Karizma back in the day was a very desirable product, and fancy of every 90's kid!

I just wish it got a bigger engine and not a puny 200, which justifies it. Karizma had a cult though small but similar to what RE has now and Safari had then.

In my opinion the first version which came in 2003 was the best looking one and still looks amazing.
Even today if the same version is launched with a 500cc motor it will sell like hot cakes.

I really liked the original and yes, if Hero relaunches it as is, with modern mechanicals, I believe it will sell like hot cakes. Later versions became bloated and started looking like a boat and not a bike. Hope this new version is smooth, comfy and torquey and Hero didn't try to make it too peaky or aggressive. Wonder why they went with split seats.

Hero Karizma XMR 210 teaser reveals its LED headlight

Hero MotoCorp has released another teaser of the upcoming Karizma XMR 210. The latest teaser showcases the bike's LED headlamp with integrated LED daytime running lights.

The Karizma XMR is said to be based on a new platform powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. While detailed specs haven't been released, we can expect it to develop around 25 BHP.

The XMR is likely to feature telescopic suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, while the braking setup will comprise of discs at both ends.

Earlier, Hero had shared an image of the Karizma XMR 210 with a transparent box around it and a caption that read, "The Legend Returns".

+1 to this, Karizma had 225cc while everyone else were at sub 150cc segment.

Competition has now moved on to the higher displacement while this bike is speculated to have 210cc and 25bhp!

Hero could have simply used retuned the Harley 440's engine.

Motorcycle manufacturers are really at the top of the game when it comes to innovative invitations, PR & Communications and thinking out of the box. They completely destroy car manufacturers who can be quite staid, boring & traditional in this area!

Earlier this year, I had posted about the very cool invite from Harley-Davidson (post link).

Got a really stylish-looking package the other day. Love the colours & the style. But that's not the best part. When I opened it, here's what happened. Well done, Hero Team . If your intention was to stand out, impress & make it unforgettable, well, mission accomplished.

OK, so who can guess the top speed (displayed) of Karizma XMR?

Beware! Bajaj might read your post and come up with a Pulsar 220 "refresh" which goes till 144 and relaunch the ad of the "fastest Indian".

Looking forward to this launch. The invitation is innovative, and they are doing multiple marketing campaigns on social media. Stories from owners of the old model, the cap video, and getting Hritik to promote.

Also, they are replying to many comments on the Instagram posts with much confidence, even the negative ones, so they might surprise.

Isn't the F250 doing that, at least in terms of performance since the 220F refuses to retire

Seems like the Launch Season predates the Festive Season.
After the X440, Speed 400 :
- Xonic : 23/08
- Karizma XMR : 29/08
- RTR(hopefully) : 06/09
- Xpulse 400+ series
- Himalayan 450 series
- 390 maybe ?

Fun roads ahead.

I was kind of expecting a scale model to jump out of that box!

Great way to launch nevertheless!

Good strategy indeed, but I can't help but wonder how many of these are produced and how much digital waste this would generate if the screen is just a screen which displays this promotion and does nothing else. I hope it can be repurposed in any way if possible.

OT:

They could use this as a key which has to be inserted at the gate of the venue to get access/ids. The screen-electronics can be re-used for future launches with a different package and content. Rest is up to imagination.

And the game is on it seems....

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motor...xmr-210-a.html (Bajaj takes a dig at the upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 210)

Luckily Bajaj has decided to use the 11 year old 200 NS in the ad to taunt Hero, instead of using the 16 year old 220.
