Re: 2023 Suzuki Gixxer launched at Rs 1.41 lakh; gets Bluetooth

The long awaited feature i.e. bluetooth connectivity is finally here. I hope it can be installed in previous BS6 models so owners like me who just missed it, can enjoy this feature.
Also, instead of 2nd black matte colour, Suzuki should have gone for Glossy Red colour because this motorcycle has really low (no) profile/presence on road. A much needed bling can help this fantastic bike in getting noticed. Too much dark/off colours won't help much in getting more sales than the present ones.

Re: 2023 Suzuki Gixxer launched at Rs 1.41 lakh; gets Bluetooth

I was just about to book the Gixxer 250 (Naked) when the showrooms told me they no longer had it in stock. Happy to know that these lovely machines are back.

I just hope that Suzuki had made the following changes:
1) Introduce a gloss color for the naked version. Both colors on offer are matt colors and they are a pain to maintain.
2) Changed to LED indicators
3) Changed the faux chrome muffler protector to piano black or matt black. Bling just doesn't go with this type of bike.
4) Made the pillion seat more pillion friendly
5) Made a taller. more functional windshield for the SF250. The current one is just an ornament.

With the huge increase in price, I don't think asking for these things were justified but I guess they have also increased the prices to make the vehicles BS6 2.0 compliant.

Sorry to burst your bubble but none of your points are valid for this new version! They have only introduced new colors and bluetooth functionality.
But still, as a Gixxer 250 owner myself...go and book the naked version. You won't regret it.

Yup, my friend, wishful thinking on my end . I have decided to save up some more and go for the new Interceptor 650 (with alloy wheels) whenever it launches.

Re: 2023 Suzuki Gixxer launched at Rs 1.41 lakh; gets Bluetooth

While at a Suzuki dealership, I got a chance to check out the updated Gixxer SF 250 and 150. The price of the new Gixxer SF 250 has jumped to Rs 2.8L on road Kerala! This pricing will make freshly registered units of what is already a low selling motorcycle, even more hard to spot on our roads. If nothing else, it will drive up the prices of preowned 250s in the market. Thank you, Suzuki!

Of the 250s, only the Metallic Matte Black No 2 and Metallic Sonic Silver / Metallic Triton Blue were on display. The latter is a a tweaked version of the 100th Anniversary edition paint scheme but it does look rather aftermarketish, and not in the best way. The third paint scheme is the Metallic Matte Stellar Blue, which is taken from the Katana.

The black accents just dont do it for me. The front mudguard went from silver to black.

The red Suzuki logo is replaced with a silver one. This I liked!

The side panel is glossy black, instead of matte black. The 250 on the rear panel is now in red, instead of blue. The belly pan is black, instead of blue.

Any under the hood or changes in any mechanicals? Or is it only stickering and styling?

Does this mean that the toothsome Triton Blue MotoGP is phased out? The addition of Ride Connect is going a step forward, but the hike in prices coupled with rather drab colours/graphics is 2 steps back ! And retaining that bikini visor confirms to me the chaps at Suzuki India are stone deaf.

+1. A promising product when launched, Suzuki is entering their 4th year of business with this bike in our market. Such a shame to have not bothered to iron out the fundamental flaws in the Gixxer lineup.

That Suzuki head, Mr. Handa recently gave an interview for Autocar. He is basically clueless, he blabbers 'Electric is the future'. He is only interested in scooters I guess.

The Gixxer v1 launched in 2016, was a good bike and it was marketed well and it brought in 5000-10000 sales every month. Last Month, Gixxer v2 sales was at 0 units.

The Marketing is now non existent and most people don't even know this bike exists. All their bikes are superbly engineered, but it is Suzuki India that is killing these products.Even the recently launched VStrom does not have an India specific ad.

Worst Management I have ever seen.

Can we retrofit this console on the older 2020 Gixxers ?
