They can be.
However, if you want to skip the expensive and time consuming ARAI homologation process, you'll have to go for CBU import & 800cc+ combination.
This was a rule created in 2007, to favour Harley Davidson. Also called 'Mangoes for Harleys' deal. Although, strangely Yamaha took the first benefit of this rule by launching YZF-R1 and MT01 back then.

For any other bike, I guess homologation is compulsory.
Even ZX 6R went through homologation, spy pics were leaked.

Not sure of the price that the buyer(s) paid for it but if I could afford one I would pick it up. I kind of like the 'near-ordinary' look of the bike. BTW, the indicators seems to be on along with the headlight. Some new feature on Honda bikes? I've noticed even some CB350s where the indicators are always on. If you could throw some light on this it would be great.

Hyderabad pricing puts it at 6.89 L on road. Launch maybe next month and Deliveries by march?

Yes, you are correct the indicators are on along with the key in ignition position like CB350 series. However, when ever they will blink it will be with more intensity and clearly visible.

"Price sensibly" - I doubt ,that is not going to happen for sure .

To what I was informed by one dealership in Mumbai is that they have to upload a picture of the vehicle delivery on the RTO portal for completion of the RC process before the RC goes to print and dispatch. So if the cops are asking you such funny questions, the owner too has the right to ask him to verify the image from their database with the current state of the bike and prove that there are no Mods. Not sure how far true is this.

Any update on the 500X and 500F launch. All the dealers seems to be tight lipped and not spilling any beans.
